General Chat / Re: Do we need protected servers or not?
« on: Monday, March 26, 2018, 17:15:00 PM »
I'm not sure but maybe they indirectly attacks the servers.
for me it looks like they attack the Authserver so we lose connection to our servers.
I don't belive they pick every single server and DDos them.

Server Support / Re: Working server package for Linux?

Not necessary, e.g for 64-Bit Debian 7 you can try add
Code: [Select]
dpkg --add-architecture i386
apt-get update
apt-get install libc6-i386
I not sure & I am not a pro but wanna give a try.
My Hoster(nowadays any proper high-end Hoster) doesn't support Linux distributions lower 64-Bit, only with 32-bit compatibility packages.

Please, were can I download a current working replacement for armyops250-linux file for rootserver owner?
Could this https://sourceforge.net/projects/aa25assist/files/Binaries/25Assist-Linux.zip/download work for me?

If yes, than I need some help to fit "Set executable and execute:" right.
Code: [Select]
chmod +x armyops250-linux.run
./armyops250-linux.run

I run this OS: Linux  Debian 3.2.96-3 x86_64

I have problem with this step
Code: [Select]
Download the installation package:
wget http://ftp.free.fr/mirrors/AmericasArmy/Linux_v2.5.0/armyops250-linux.run
I get this error:
HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 404 Not Found
but some days ago i got this:No such file or directory

is it only me or is the link dead?
maybe the file contains 32-bit executables and I use Debian 64-bi tarchitecture.

btw. check this out https://linuxgsm.com/#features could we add Assist?

AA Support / Cooperative missions - Player VS AI
« on: Thursday, May 21, 2015, 07:18:38 AM »
(like my little hope about the coops)

belive me coop-maps sux and it isn't a higher level IMO. i played yesterday 2.8.5 several coop maps (singleplayer/multiplayermode) and i got around 8-25 Fps max. with resolution 800/600pixels and every textures details to the lowest values (my videocard is a Nvidia  gforce gtx 660 ti). 1st i was not able to play because of the sideshow effect similar to the [AA3] maps but 10times worster than they. 2nd the AI are so stupid and it not worth the effort. i think DEV's should not go this way to employ this useless coops, keep the game smart and playable without new bugs etc.

it only happends with the this kind of "stupid" mouse or you mean this bug in the game wich autoshoots 1-2 bullets while "ZoomIn" after run or jump (however), even if you are in spectator mode and watching a mate and you switch between players?.

News / Re: Using mouse macros in 25Assist is now detected.
« on: Saturday, May 02, 2015, 16:16:59 PM »
"sry, old tread but its fit's to my querys"

currently i play in assist with an heavy old brocken mouse but i must change now my equipment (not for macros and stuff) so far.
nowadays the trend is that almost every mouse (even keyboards, headsets...etc.) uses some kind of "macros" build in "script's or software" and its a pain in ass to escape them and don't to get a disadvantage if i boycott this and buy a let's say a office-mouse with ball (:D) because i love the old aao2 gameplay. especialy if you play besides aao2 other modern fps games.

the point is i don't wanna use and need (this "macro" advantage) but i wanna use the newest technique (dpi, speed, report rate, response time, quality, and fits in my hand etc.) and to be uptodate at this point.
i got a new cracked "a4tech bloody v8m multi-core" mouse while ago but i don't use them in assist so far.

to Question:
did anyone play in assist with this mouse in core1 mode (standard without any macro function) but i'am not 100% sure if is true and i'am afraid of using the mouse while assist is running?
you can pm me if you don't wanna make it public!

howsoever how can i be sure if i'm save or not in this case, is ther a way i can keep the modern mouse for all games with the original software so i don't need to plug and play different mouse's

i tryed to turn "core 1 mode" to "on" via the software and tested this on my desktop (watched my mouse-curser) without assist. i tryed to shoot and switching to the other modis (via mouse) and it seems the macros realy gone but im not to 100% sure. and i don't wanna evoke a ban to lose "THE" game wich i support (love/hate) since 2003. :D
