General Chat / We have to believe that America's Army 2.5 will get better!

I saw 26 players yesterday playing on one server and it came to my head that if we all do what we are supposed, AA25 will get better and accumulate more players. The game is far from dead.
It's a bit sad when admins of this site kind of give in to the "this game is almost dead" mentality, just saying. I think we should fight for it until the last man.

Did Steamroller roll off the map list? Because I get an error while joining server with Steamroller.. it opens the game and then says as the title with some options "Reconnect" grayed out among them (unavailable)

I was thinking about what would make for a realistic Urban Fight in Steamroller (or similar), without making too many people wait for next round, with criteria in mind that in real life you don't rush without team support / cover. Came up with this single rule:
* Whichever team looses half their team in KIA - they retreat (mission failure) - round is reset.
Other than that - time is unlimited. It should result in pretty much short rounds or rounds of camping where most of people are in play.
Question: would there be a way to implement this kind of scoring into the game itself?

think how do you stop harassing phone calls? Don't answer in the first place. Same can be said for here. we come to play and have an enjoyable experience. if you have an unpleasant one perhaps make an attempt to contact the server owner. instead of making a spectacle of yourself and others.

oi vay. the idea of this game was for recruiting was it not? if you want drama plenty of it on the console games. the idea behind punkbuster at the time was to eliminate the cheaters and hackers. Also there was and still are the admin commands kick and ban to discourage undesired behaviour. Unfortunately the community is not once what it was. However there must be a certian amount of mutual respect. When it comes down to it a server owner/admin can do what they want but if their actions are undesireable don't expect people to play on your server or to be assigned admin right on another. if you like the game play. learn who is who and when they play. we can always agree to disagree.. :P

I love your server hitman. The "4 minute hurry up and die so i can play again" servers are what killed this game. Young kids that have absolutely zero patience and complain wrecked it and are gone now. it really is a shame. Anyone who dislikes the realism server is definately under 30 years old.!

it's not realistic!!hide kills, play time 120 minutes..you kill the enemy, not knowing if you killed him(on the map we played ICE)..all the players write you back time and kills and you ignore ..all the while you are acting like this the server will be empty.
Alkos, sometimes I enjoy seeing the kills also, but when you get used to not seeing kills - it makes for more realistic experience. I wanted to give this experience to others, that's why I created a server, otherwise - what's the point? There is 55 more like it
