Most questions will pertain to the 2.8 editor but I suppose if anyone has the older editor and has some questions they could probably post here.

Anyone else play PO? It's a competitive battle simulator thingy. I only have one team that I use every time but I like it a lot.

I know literally almost nothing of the metagame so I'm hoping someone else here plays and can show me up.

First of all,

While Super Smash Bros 64 is my favorite game ever, I'm still really excited for this.

Some characters have been announced already, obviously, but that doesn't mean we can't argue over who else should be in the game :D

-PaRappa the Rapper
-Fat Princess
-The Killzone Dude
-Sweet Tooth
-Kratos
-Sly Cooper

I think Snake needs to be in this game, even though he was already in Brawl. I'd like to see Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, and Rayman (as the three games I loved most as a wee lad), as well as Snake and some representatives from the Final Fantasy and Megaman worlds (but I haven't played either series :D ).

Tomb Raider was a huge series back in the day, so Lara Croft will almost definitely be int he game I think. Me and my friends were talking about this at dinner last night and Jak and Daxter and Ratchet and Clank were both also mentioned.

With the Killzone guy already implemented and shown in the video, I assume the other big names in PS3 games will be rep'd too. Drake from Uncharted, Cole from inFamous, a plain brown LittleBigPlanet sack thingy, something from Resistance...

The Lounge / US Presidents (And other World Leaders): Chosen from Above?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genealogical_relationships_of_Presidents_of_the_United_States

All the cousin relations between presidents are cute, but being related to royalty is kind of suspicious. Also interesting that Abraham Lincoln, James Garfield, William McKinley, and John F Kennedy were not on the list. They were all assassinated.

This (combined with a lot of other things) leads me to believe that there is a shadow government new world order ruling over everyone that allows politicians to get the popularity they need for election and Presidency. Especially now with corporations helping campaigns and the media giving its support to certain candidates.

Used to be a decent 2.5 clan, and one of the most laidback clans once you become part of the family. Any old 2.5 players whose clans didn't make it through the last year, we'd be happy to play with you and invite you to our forums. I suppose Crunk has to be addressed. He's no longer the unofficial leader of the clan, he's been arrested and cannot use the internet. Ak4 still has no "official" leader, just like before, but I'm gonna try my best to be as active as Crunk was on both the Ak4ums and here to match his role on DRAAT. as sic said:

I just want to say that what's done is done and we're moving on.

Rant about what you love. I look forward to commenting :)

I love philosophy and metaphysics. All day I think about the true nature of reality and I plan on writing not only books on my philosophy and perspective, but fiction novels with metaphysical philosophy tied in. I also love meditation and meditate regularly in my free time and every night before sleep.

Honor Claims / taylor gang or die
« on: Friday, February 10, 2012, 18:25:37 PM »
I don't have any proof but surely killaman or someone I played with often can remember me having 50+ honor at some point. I don't think I ever got to 60, think I had like 53-56ish. I'm content with 50 if that's cool.

Games & Programming / F.lux Lighting

Not exactly a "must-have program" but cool nonetheless. Pretty creative :p

Ever notice how people texting at night have that eerie blue glow?

Or wake up ready to write down the Next Great Idea, and get blinded by your computer screen?

During the day, computer screens look good—they're designed to look like the sun. But, at 9PM, 10PM, or 3AM, you probably shouldn't be looking at the sun.

F.lux fixes this: it makes the color of your computer's display adapt to the time of day, warm at night and like sunlight during the day.

Quote
f.lux makes your computer screen look like the room you're in, all the time. When the sun sets, it makes your computer look like your indoor lights. In the morning, it makes things look like sunlight again.

Tell f.lux what kind of lighting you have, and where you live. Then forget about it. F.lux will do the rest, automatically.

Miscellaneous / Advice
« on: Wednesday, November 17, 2010, 21:17:12 PM »
I'm going to college next year and I'd like a laptop/notebook/netbook/etc. You get the picture. I'd also like for my external to be compatible with it but I have no idea whatsoever if you can add an eSATA port to a netbook. In a perfect world I'd have a little netbook with an internal 1TB HD so I could use it in the car and other places without having to have the external plugged into an outlet.

In the cheapest possible way - keeping in mind I already have a 1TB external that I'd prefer to work with - what do you guys suggest I do? I guess I could settle for a $249 (on Apple's site) iPod classic with 160GB but that doesn't solve my laptop problem and I have more than 160GB of music so I'd have to pick and choose.

Oh and when I was thinking about making this thread I had a ton of stuff I wanted to mention but now I feel like I left out a bunch of stuff and it won't make sense haha

The Lounge / Post issues with Knight here.
« on: Tuesday, November 02, 2010, 22:50:54 PM »
@Knight: I have no desire to fight, bitch, nor cuss. Not sure why I would want to take the discussion there. I know there is a certain point when it will be deemed off-topic and split - and subsequently sent to the aforementioned forum -  but until then there's no reason that we have to stop discussing this. Personally, I thought Call of Duty 4 was a great game1 and I regret selling it to GameStop for $2.06 before World at War was even released. Fuck GameStop.

1 I never played professionally. I was never paid for my services to the game. Knight is infinitely better than me at the game, he has played a countless amount of hours more than I have, and I promise you that he is the better man in general. I bet he's even taller than I am. I bet he goes farther in life. I bet his income exceeds mine. I bet his spouse is more attractive than mine. That is, unless all people have married Knight before I have the chance to become married myself. I played on PS3 exclusively, my PC did not support the game. I still own the PC version and it's around here somewhere. I have no desire to find it, install it, play it, or sell it.

The Lounge / Animals and The Final Cut
« on: Tuesday, October 26, 2010, 20:16:10 PM »
Pink Floyd's Studio Albums (in order of best to worst)
 • Animals
 • The Final Cut
 • The Dark Side of the Moon
 • Meddle
 • Wish You Were Here
 • Momentary Lapse of Reason
 • The Division Bell
 • The Wall
 • Atom Heart Mother
 • Piper at the Gates of Dawn

I'm not familiar enough with Saucerful or Ummagumma to throw them in with the rest.

I'm not implying that any of these albums are not fantastic, this is how I rank them though. I'm hoping Nate and Knight have their own opinion of Pink Floyd and perhaps some other people will surprise me?
