I have the same problem on linux. The assist client worked fine a few years back. I have no idea what happened to it recently.

Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "xapp-gtk3-module" when running the assist client on Arch linux

ls /usr/lib/gtk-3.0/modules/ | grep xapp-gtk3-module
libxapp-gtk3-module.so there is nothing to do

Any suggestions?

I haven't tried it on Ubuntu, but it does not work on Arch.

" “25Assist” needs to be updated.
The developer of this app needs to update it to work with this version of macOS. Contact the developer for more information."

The linux client is also not functional.
