We have seen this happen a few times on our server too.
Unsure if there is a fix for this yet.

UNTAMED, please remember that Spanky and the guys are doing this for no real reward, other than the praise we can give them here.

AAO would probably be all but dead if it wasn't for the 25ASSIST team.

ONYA Jared for keeping it real.

Cheers 25ASSIST

i'm an Australian, whats a economic crisis?

When Paul Keating (previous Prime Minister) said "this is the recession we need to have" so he forced it.

I think he was The Treasurer at the time

With regards to the single core design of AA, at FDG we also play a race sim called rFactor (The original, not RF2) this game was also designed with only single core machines in mind.

The fix for that was to add another command in the target line of the shortcut used to start the game.
eg.
The original target line in the shortcut for rFactor was

"C:\Program Files\rFactor V8Factor Unleashed\rFactor.exe"

With the extra command it now reads as

 "C:\Program Files\rFactor V8Factor Unleashed\rFactor.exe" +fullproc
There is a space before the + sign

Unsure if this will work for AA, as I think when I tried it with 2.8.5 my game crashed each time, but maybe there is a way around that.

And maybe some of the brainiacs here can work it out.

Cheers guys.

Thanks Koden.

It would be great to get this post back on topic, for -=[FDG]=- members and others, (Thanks Cat, Spanky and Johnny) to have to come in here and defend our rules is a shame.
This is a game and meant to be fun, please do not spoil it for others.
Shit poo and bum are allowed  ;D but not be abused or spammed.
The use of phonetics is tolerated but also not to be abused.
If you use this game as some sort of aggression outlet, consider playing somewhere else.
I personally laugh every time I die, as I know I have done something stoopid, or just walked into a camp ground.
As I said before, when we relaxed the swearing rule a while back it just seemed to open the door for players to abuse others, so, the swearing rule was re-instated.
On another note: please do not enter and complain about lag, if you have a 3000 ping it aint our fault, it's yours, for joining an Aussie server, or stop downloading that midget porn...  ;D
Let's leave it there, and get back on topic.

PUBLIC AUSSIE SERVER.....

-=[FDG]=- FRIDAY FIGHT NIGHT !!!! Starts around 8PM Sydney time
8X6 minute missions makes for fast gameplay and DOES NOT promote camping, even though on some maps to camp is the only way when on DEF.
Multiple map changes and lots of fun.

Known players allowed in our TS. (Use your game name)
If you are not known, register in our forums to remedy this. (Again, use your head, rego with your game name, preferably NOT a smurf account name)

NOTE:
The swearing rule does not apply in TS, but the abuse rule stands always.
This is not hypocritical, just the way it has always been.
We are mostly quite inebriated in TS :o, so if you want quiet while you play, re think your decision in joining our TS.

Cheers

Well, actually, now that ELiZ is here, he might convert some 2.8 maps pretty easy.

That would be great!!

I have only one response to that.

This is a game right ???

Imagine "Little Johnny" really excited about having this game installed and wants to show his skills off to Mommy!!!

He gets a kill then the next thing is he is being called all sorts of expletive names!!!!!

Do ya reckon Mom is gonna let him keep playing this game with so many foul mouthed players????

Our server is G Rated and Fun Rated..

That is all....

Thanks for that Mav, You can be my wingman anytime...  ;D

The problem being that our 2.8.5 server is now basically just for User Created coop maps. a few MP maps on there like Abbusata bridge, but as I said, mostly coops.

Was hoping Canyon and District could be converted for the 2.5 version.

But "such is life" we are still having bags of fun with our Friday Fight Nights with the maps supplied by AAO25 Assist.

Friday 10 Feb was our first Fight Night on 2.5, we started at 8PM Sydney time and at 2AM Saturday we were still 11v11, it finished around 3AM...

WELL DONE GUYS !!!! What you have achieved here is monumental!!!  ;D

can we say naughty words in your server?

Why don't you try it when an admin is on and find out !!!!!

You obviously already know our rules, or you would not have asked the question...

Good server, even though i have 97 ping in there  :D
Nice to see Thatcher fdg is back in aa25! :D i like the admins and the server.

Thankyou and Thankyou, we try...

Oh bugga my bubble has been busted... :'(  lol..

No worries mate, we all appreciate all you guys are doing for us, and in the end it took quite a few years to get AA to the level it was at before the Devs tried to kill it..

I expect and hope AA2 will last a lot longer than the pitiful attempt that AA3 was, ... Is !!!

With regards to Canyon and District, no one I know can find a reason why they were omitted from the 2.8.5 update.

It seemed to most of us that someone just screwed up and forgot they were in the 2.8 update..

Thanks anyway Spanky ..

Aussie server up and running, it rotates maps at the moment but that will probably change in the next day or so.

Look for FAIR DINKUM GAMERS -=[FDG]=-

Our FDG Friday Fight Nights are still on and running on 2.5.

Starts around 8PM Sydney time and goes till the early hours of Saturday morning.

Format:
8 Missions of 6 mins then a map change, those in TS get map request preference.
The 6 minute missions creates a fast game and messes with those that are always pitching tents.

Depending on who and how many are in the server we may do 2 sets of 8 missions on a certain map.

Cheers guys and Thanks again for all your work.
