My old HD555 lasted a good 5/6 years before breaking down. It survived my childhood raging years though. Moving in with my girlfriend soon so needed a headset because I'll have neighbours again.. :(
(Good excuse to buy a headset for my recent temporary comeback to AA)

Got the HD558 last week and have no regrets. Can't refer to HD555 sound wise as I used it last 2 years ago but what I do know for sure is that it sits even more comfortable on my head.

What card do you have Sergio? OpenAL is still available for W7 64/32 bit. Latest drivers should install it, if not you can manually add it. (mostly happens with 64 bit).

Came upon this while searching for sound fixes. If you go into Control Panel > Hardware & Sound > Sound > Communication and set it on "Do nothing" this doesn't happen.

I've played with Huginhow for ages now, and as far as I'm concerned, he doesn't TK on purpose. I've never seen him TK on purpose, either. It seems to me like you were the one doing it on purpose last night, Bumpy. :)
