Forum Relocation
« on: Monday, August 19, 2013, 15:34:58 PM »
We have moved AAO25.com to a new server, hosted by Smoke at http://LowPingServers.com

There are a few reasons for this move including broken cron jobs (the stat modules at the top of the site) and custom server configurations that allow us to query servers for information. This is useful for the server list at http://natescomp.com/list (which will be moved over shortly) and it would be good if we ever decide to build our own tracker or wish to have advanced server stats.

This last unexpected downtime cost us data loss, luckily I had a backup of the site from last night otherwise it would have been 4 days of data loss. Now, on LPS we will have minimum daily backups for the entire site streamed to other servers for redundancy.

I want to thank Pegasus for hosting the site as long as he did. It certainly took a load off of the donations and made sure that the Assist server was paid for and stayed running.

Good job spanky, a seamless change over. And good have all that debugging info we collected back.
I had to reboot my router to get the new site to work so that was weird.

I'm still on the old DNS despite many hours of waiting... I can access this site via IP though.

I got more stats up and coded, it's nice to have them working again. The Assist version and news on the homepage is pulled from the auth's ver.htm every half-hour I think. That'll be a nice feature. More to come once DNS updates...

Everybody, one day will die, and be forgetten. Act and behave in a way that will make life interesting and fun, fuck a mundane predictable life working monday to friday with something you derive no pleasure from; just living life out till you grow old and wither away. Find a passion, form relationships, dont be afraid to get out there and fuck what everyone else thinks, trust me its alot more fun that way.

Dont ever pay people out or put people down. Instead just put yourself up and let the haters do their thing. Id rather be a person thats hated on, than a person that does the hating. A wise man one said...

I just set my DNS back to auto and can view this site. Looks like it's 90% done.
