How large is the file download Spanky?
-
It's tough to say. Couple hundred megabytes. I don't have the actual value. I think it's 300MB, definitely under 400MB.
-
Thanks....

New GUI looks really nice and professional. Had a few of the 141 files I had to download fail but that's not too bad.
-
Yea, it's tricky, the individual file download is great for updates and verifying but that means you need to have 141 downloads. I had a few hang (Briefings) but everything went well.
-
Ya I expected it anyways.
-
Mine is saying 143,is that correct?
-
Very nice work on the aa3 maps, they look great with very little of a performance hit.

I don't know the exact number, I think mine was 143 as well, I was just going off of what Nick said.

One more time, probably not the last though, VERY GOOD JOB ON THIS RELEASE.
-
Just a minor update process bug report: when upgrading from the old client, the new binary isn't set to be executable, so it fails to restart.
Anyway, I like the new look, it's still upgrading the maps, so I can't be more specific yet :)

This is ridiculously amazing !
-
gj guys, great job!

The new graphic layout is great and well designed all around, the chat is a nice addition and the poll system was really needed. The whole amount of detail and good rendition is impressive. There are a few bugs or glitches but given that those maps are not small by any means so it's fine it think. I find Airfield to be a bit odd as a whole, i wonder who originally made it on the AA3 team.

from graphics perspective nothing really changed its just some new stuff though :P

Nice work on the new interface. Not sure but I think you have to manually refresh server list updates now, which is welcome seeing how it sometimes lagged people because you have to leave assist open.
I only tried airfield so far. When you actually keep in mind the objectives, it's not so bad. The AA3 version I played because of the AI. In 2.5 I think it'll do well. A few bugs I noticed was that all friendly weapons look like enemy weapons. Some of various posters on the walls seem to glitch when you pass by them.
MP_Pipeline seems the same. The graphics in there lower the framerate compared to the original pipeline.
-
Very good job guys, I've tried AA3 Pipe and Impact, they are both very good looking :) However I think that Impact is imbalanced, not because of the implementation, but because of the map idea. VIP team can only win if it's much stronger than the other team.

Agree, thats what people wanted. The vote has been casted and most of them wanted vip.

Rgr, wasn't complaining, just notifying :)

mAAp Pipeline or AA3 Pipeline?
-
great job guys, can't wait to install this update
-
mAAp Pipeline or AA3 Pipeline?
I think he's talking about mAAp Pipeline, which didn't change at all like he pointed out.
It may be a bit unclear that there are now 3 Pipeline maps: Pipeline, [mAAp] Pipeline and [AA3] Pipeline
-
mAAp Pipeline did actually change a bit but the FPS should be better, not worse than before.
-
In Linux the Update fails right at the end of each file just like the awesome xmas maps had to use winoze and networkem over all is well thanks bros awesome ready to play
-
Awesome job!
Great work developer team.
