Just letting you know.
-
I love poetry (although it's not something I go around telling people) and would love to see more from you.
-
Thank you so very much. Indeed, more from me will be posted very shortly. Stay tuned!
-
I'm really liking what I see in tumblr as well; I'm just about convinced that I should migrate from blogspot.
-
If there's one thing I've noticed about Dann's blogs, its that no one can surpass the way Dann emphasizes usability and artistic minimalism.

@Blue: Thanks. I'm still working on my blog. Will get a Portfolio in, a "Contact Me", give a more consistent form to the Pseudonyms as well, and a lot of other minimal yet efficient things. If you were wondering, I've opted for Tumblr because: A) It's got a good search engine. B) It's easy to use C) I don't get to have to deal with anonymous comments and whatnot. I am not searching to have a blog for others to "worship" me. All I want is a place in the internet where I'll keep all that is mine inter-connected.
@Nate: Goodie good! Thanks for that. I'll be adding (on a coded page) ways of keeping track of my blog, such as Google Reader buttons, feeds, and so on.
Question: What would you eventually like to see (subject-wise) posted in a near future? I am curious.

Moar Dann.

How so?
-
Typography restricted to things you can do inside tumblr; no images. The ones you made we're very cool.
-
Whereas I can see a point in what you have suggested, Dennis, that would be limiting my art and its expression. I will, however, as it is inhere to my own style, give importance to the looks of Typography and their compositions, concepts and consequences.
Also, in a unrelated note, all the ongoing threads that I have in here will now be summarised into this thread, and my blog alike. In other words, any sketches, drawings, musics, experiments and the likes will be posted on my blog and re-posted in here, with a direct link towards the blog itself.
I will be making a few posts in the next couple of hours, so if you will, keep an eye out.

I followed her.

Check Blog: http://klaasillu.tumblr.com
New post!
Inclusion of a text in the blog, to come along with the concept of the graphic.
-
And no one respondes....hurray!
New stuff up.
-
Dann, I have almost no time on the internet these days. I barely get enough time to post on my own blog. Its not personal, you have a very unique view on the world and I love it.
-
Being subscribed, I silently read it.
-
This is relatively ironic. One bad drawing or a first-take at Photoshop posters get an incredible amount of feedback, but I -whose experience is on a slightly more advanced level- get very little to nearly none. And to think it would be worth sharing a slice of my essence with my "mates" here...Ha!
Rant aside, new post:

People comment on what they want to, you have to deal with that. Nobody "owes" you feedback so don't be mad when you don't get it.
That aside, I do not have the knowledge to comment on your work because frankly, I don't get it. I have no way of telling if it is good or bad. I simply do not have enough knowledge in art to tell whether something is of good artistic value or not. I simple say what i think looks cool.
-
When I have something to say, I will comment. Meanwhile, I'm still reading your posts. In fact, I read your recent one about words before posting this.
-
Alex, yet again, you very much so successful at bringing things down to a basic level, as always. Thanks for not letting me down.
Sarcasm aside, this is not a case of being owed feedback. Headshot is only Headshot for its inter-relations between the members. I am almost falling down to not being active at all, in here, not because my stuff does not get commented, but because more and more, I see people saying they don't understand this and that, and that due to not understanding, they won't bother commenting. That is not a pro-active mind at all, and it most certainly isn't a willing one either.
Sidenote: You don't need to know about art to give your own feedback of what you see. Next excuse.
@Spanky: This is leading to the same "We read your philosophical posts, but I never got to comment on them..." outcome. Rather destructive and unappealing, must I add.

You're welcome.

You two are like a married couple.

I read your entries when I see them in my dashboard.

I like this alot, though the font kind of bugs me. I can't put my finger on what it is I just don't care for the font. The vertical lines kind of annoy me too. I think you could get the distorted look with a different method and it would look better.
-
Well, I thought your image reminds me of old vinyl covers. Back in the time when people had creativity and a large canvas for drawing attention to their records.
-
A new theme has been placed on my blog. I'm in the process of modifying it slightly, though.
-
I like it but I think you need more color.
-
Absolutely. Gotta bring my orange back (that one specific red-orange colour I seem to be so much fond of!)
Edits are on the go. Stay tuned if such is within your desire.
-
Yep looks good. Constant navigation to go where ever at anytime and double column scrolling. I haven't seen anything like that before actually. Spanky's right about the color though. Needs some distinct color.

Exercise for LCC (University). It basically consists of creating a interactive multitrack audiplayer. All code and animation is still to be done (should have that down tomorrow), however this is template I've got so far.

Space, meteors, old vinyls. Whats not to love about that?
-
Do keep in mind though, this is just an exercise!
-
If you were more of a Windows user I'd suggest making a Foobar skin. Good work nonetheless.
-
Foobar skin being?
-
Foobar is a Windows program that plays audio files. A skin would be a theme for that. Pretty much what you're going to make except in a program format, not a web based application. Here's some examples on deviantart:

Blog updated with a small (tiny!) animation I did. Practising, practising.
Unfortunate events played out and I lost a partial part of my work.

I like the 10 seconds so far. Easy to follow its fluidity, BUT ITS NOT DONE! Blame Adobe for wreaking your shit nigga; I was hoping to see some more.
-
I'll get around fixing it, 100% guarantees.
Meanwhile, updated a "Letter" I wrote for my PPD classes.
PPD standing for Personal and Professional Development.

New Project Up.

Feedback appreciated.
P.S:. Trying new themes as well!

Hi,
I think FB chat is being retarded again so Ill post here.
I'm taking the Dann challenge which is to "figure out what the symbols starting and finishing the film stand for, and how they relate to 'The Way We Feel'".
I haven't figured out the pyramid--no thought clarity; epically late and sickness are bad combination--but I think the X is a representation of conflicting ideas in conjunction with multiple iterations of ideas (4 diamonds) in which we discuss, argue, explain, etc. In the end we repeat these indefinitely and infinitely (circle).
See you after many hours of sleep.
-
He told me what they mean. I didn't know they represented anything at first...
-
The video was brilliant - as much as I hate Thom Yorke and Radiohead. I think I would use Elliott Smith if I was to re-create this project. Excellent work, though.
Also, I though the Scaffold theme went very well with your blog.
-
Theme-experimentation phase. It will pass.
Thanks for the comments on the video, though.

Since Dennis is too slow:
Triangle -- Steadiness, Incompleteness.
Cross -- Junction, Relation, Link, Bounds.
Diamond (Negative space caused by Cross) -- Different perspective, different approach, action vs. reaction, assumption, testament.
Sphere - Explosion, Universe, Elementary Form, Cycle...Rebirth.
The (What)
Way (How)
We (Exterior)
Feel (Interior)
The == Triangle
Way == Cross
We == Diamond
Feel == Sphere
-
Hell yea I was like 68.04% of the way there.
