PC Wont boot T_T
« on: Thursday, December 31, 2009, 19:42:12 PM »
So For some reason my PC turned off while I was working on something and it wont boot.
I though it was the Power supply, but it wasnt. I checked for loose Components, and reseated everything including RAM, and Video Card, but it still wont work. =/
The power buttom isnt sticking in or anything, its fine, everythign looks just right. I think there might be some kind of short circuit somewhere, because when I hit the power bottom Fans kinda try to rotate, the HD light Flashes once, and then Dead System. Help plz

I have another PC that works just fine, so I dont think the Power from the Wall Outlet could be causing the problem.

Sounds like your PSU gave out. Try putting in a different PSU if you have an extra one. if not then I have no idea what it could be.

I really can't think of a situation where a unit will receive power when you press the button but not turn on fully. You can try pulling the power plug and then pulling out the CMOS battery, wait 10 seconds or more and pop the power cord back in and turn it on. Maybe strip it down to bare components needed.
It's like shaving your pubes to make your junk look bigger.
Might look bigger, but it aint.....

Im considering you try striping it to bare components. Just the mobo, ram, cpu, and power supply; see if you can get to the bios startup screen from that setup.
