Recent (this morning) I opened my laptop and the screen was black, I was okay, its just in a weird mode, since I run dual monitors at work, and sometimes I close shit to fast and It thinks I still have 2 monitors. So I restarted it, it came back up and still the screen was black, I was like WTF, so I moved the screen forward a bit and it came on, so every time I move my screen past a certain point it goes black again. I figured this would just be because of a lose connection, but if anyone has an idea about what can be causing this please let me know...or should i go buy a mac?

should i go buy a mac?
Yes.
Not. I've found that for most popular laptops, there's disassembly instructions online. They're pretty easy to follow since someone else has already worked out the quirks. Getting to the monitor assembly is usually pretty easy and doesn't involve complete disassembly. I'm guessing that either a cable is loose or there's been too much friction on a cable that it's worn the wires down. If this is a design defect, there's probably others bitching about it online and probably a couple of people that figured out a solution. It's best to just google your model.
