Apparently they're as good as current NiMH batteries except for the LSD NiMH but they're brand new on the market. PowerGenix says they're working on a revision that could make it THE battery to have. Unfortunately they only come in AA... no other sizes. Interesting thing though, they took the technology and replaced the Prius' battery with a 20% smaller one (in size) and it performed the same. Personally I'm going to be buying some Sanyo Eneloop NiMH to start fresh.

I don't really have anything that takes AA batteries anymore. But those look really good for a pretty good price.

I broke my color, haven't had one since :( Anyway, those are probably the best batteries you can get. Because they're LSD (low self discharge) you can charge them and store them for months and not have to worry about having dead batteries when you want to use them.

I was just reading about these batteries. Apparently they don't contain heavy metals, and they can be recycled. Considering, that any of this is true, they sound rather nice and clean.  :)

I don't know if that means anything because it's taken from wiki, but it sounds like it's herder to recycle other types of batteries. But I'll admit I know nothing on the issue.

Could be. Who knows what "recycled" truly means as well. Is it saved from the landfill by melting down and putting it in a brick for further use? Cadmium is apparently toxic so it can't go back into the mainstream of things so does that mean it's not recycled?
