In my country all the politicians are great, they are  wealthy for sure!!

One thing you guys do forget though :
Contributing to keep the poor healthy and sheltered drastically reduces criminality,
as they wouldn't lurk around at night with some kind of diseases and an empty stomach.

But then again the gun-selling industry would become pointless ^^

I know that trusting media is lame, and that's true, but I have just quoted from media source about the current info if obama doesn't agree on republican options...

They might be politicians but they aren't that stupid, none of them really want or need a default on even a small part of the bills.

In my country healthcare is totally free of charge except some drugs for like AIDS or such diseases. Every month our government (not insurance companies-that is an option for everyone to choose if liked) takes a percentage of money from only the working part of the population in dependance of an income one makes that month (like 5 percent or so) and is strictly controlled. We are struggling very hard to preserve that way of healthcare system cause big players from western world wants their piece of a pie thus destroying social tolerance for people that are poor. Lots of tourists that visited my country and had to go to our hospital for reason whatsoever were always pleasantly surprised when they left the hospital with no bill. The thing is at the end: when life hits you like a mf and facks with your health, the least thing you need is to lose something you have struggled all life to achieve by selling it cause the bill is enormous. That extra nail in our coffin here in Croatia has been successfully dodged for quite some time now.
