No!

Also, my Directx, graphics drivers, sound drivers and framework are all up to date.

Doesn't it fix by tweaking some graphics settings in armyops.ini ?

Nope, i used google for some fixes, but none are working. Possible fix is to set all the resolutions manual in armyops.ini, but it doenst work.

Change this in your ArmyOps.ini

[D3DDrv.D3DRenderDevice]

DetailTextures=False
HighDetailActors=False
SuperHighDetailActors=False
UsePrecaching=True
UseTrilinear=False
AdapterNumber=-1
ReduceMouseLag=False
UseTripleBuffering=False
UseHardwareTL=True
UseHardwareVS=True
UseCubemaps=False
DesiredRefreshRate=75
UseCompressedLightmaps=True
UseStencil=True
Use16bit=False
Use16bitTextures=False
MaxPixelShaderVersion=255
UseVSync=False
LevelOfAnisotropy=1
DetailTexMipBias=0.800000
DefaultTexMipBias=-0.500000
UseNPatches=False
TesselationFactor=1.000000
CheckForOverflow=False
AvoidHitches=True
OverrideDesktopRefreshRate=True
ReportUnusedTextures=False
DecompressTextures=False
TerrainLOD=0
SkyboxHack=False
LowQualityTerrain=True

and try this

[Engine.Engine]
DetectedVideoMemory=0
Change the 0 to the amount of MB your graphic card has

@ noobslayer. Thanks , it works perfect now.

I changed the ArmyOps.ini but it didn't work. I reinstall AA2 with the same fix, and now its working.

@Possessed, no it didn't work for me.

I guess you had to delete ArmyOps.ini and then change the settings there

I apologize for posting an answer to such an old threat, but I had the same issue. I fixed it by NOT running certain applications in the background. I got this error when I was running mIRC, once I shut it down AA 2.5 launched without any issues. Maybe try closing some programs you have running in the background.

My best guess is that the old version of mIRC I have and AA 2.5 don't get along in compatibility mode.

I am running Windows 8.1 on a Core i7 3770 with 12 GB of RAM.
