Title: Youtube's 3D Player
Post by: BlueBlaster on Tuesday, May 18, 2010, 21:23:23 PM
I don't know when they integrated this, but they added a 3D player for videos tagged with a certain code. It adds an extra pull-down menu to select which sort of 3D you want (red/cyan, amber/blue, cross-eyed, etc).

I've looked at a couple videos, and I thought this one was the best one. I watched this cross-eyed, it was awesome.

This kind of inspires me to bring up AA and make a 3D video, I think it would turn out cool looking.

Wow, that is wild. I'm mildly tempted to aim for 3d-capable hardware down the road.

If you want 3-D TV but don't want to actually pay for an expensive ass TV plus the Glasses needed for it...  Just try this..

Instead of using an HDMI cable, use the red, blue and green composite cables.  Now I know what you're thinking..  Why the fuck would I do that and how the fuck would that make it 3-D?!  (That's an exact thought pulled from you're mind as you were reading it)  Well anyways...  Take out the red and blue cables going into your TV and reverse them.  So the blue male goes into the red female and the red male goes into the blue female.  At this point you are going to need any polarized glasses..  Put them on and yeah.  3-D TV just waiting for you to watch some pornos on.  I mean...
And yes I know you go from 1080i to 720p.  Well guess what...  Don't like it?  Go waste money on a damn 3-D TV then.

3D TV and 3D computer setup are kinda different. I've never been around a HD capable TV or one that uses composite cables but that's an interesting idea. I'm always for ghetto modding things. There's the new multi-screen 3D from Nvidia that's only available if you have like 2 120hz monitors and a SLi setup of the 4xx series or something. Way too expensive for now but something to think about for a few minutes on the can for when I'm either rich or the technology has reached the average consumer.

It was 3D and I was to lazy to make a new topic.

But it does work.  Some rich kid at Harvard or something figured it out when he was really high.
