I don't know whether or not you people ever heard of this guy (he was a famous stunter back in the 70's) but i've just found this BBC's documentary which pretty much depicts the character (a man who gave all to his passion, or rather to create a legend).

Back in 2007 when this filmed he was still holding memories, and faith to his own legend, lesser so to his physical state.

(The documentary is a complete version of the actual tv show that was aired in 2007).

Cool, i wasn't able to find even the movie trailer tho. There's a full movie biography from the 70's on the tube (doesn't make much sense to me cause they filmed it when his career was probably just hitting the top, way early).

I hear about him for the first time, but the documentary looks very interesting.

In one of the early scenes: I love how the old guy behaves tough when riding through this old town with the film maker, and then suddenly he starts to feel worse, and says 'i need to go home'. This was so great and real.

Well the documentary was filmed in July 2007 and he died in November of the same year, he was ill but still fighting despite being the shadow of the men he used to be. Of course he admittedly left his passion aside, considering his dreams completed and over. I think that in the last part of his life he was tired but still asking for fame and glory from his own youth. That's the part where i really question myself if there really was a part of him where the passion for being a daredevil wasn't already taken all over by crave for fame/glory, as he seemed to be full of himself (kept on repeating "i am evil Kneivel") with not much anything else to give.
