I'm not sure what to say but that you make a lot of these. Maybe you need to try stronger colors and more distinct edges?

Aesthetics though, the hair is kinda flat since it all extends out from the center. Maybe you can change up the shading on it. Maybe add another person behind them over the shoulder facing either left of right?

This was practice to what I will be doing later on. I am killing this bad mood with something positive...it is just that.

This took me 10-15 minutes to get done. I will not touch on it again. I created this thread with the intent to keep it updated with doodles, sketches and form/colour studies.

Cool. I seem to notice most of the work you don't really touch again, but I just don't say it. It's good to make something, look at it, and start something new.

I don't like retouching. I don't like not nailing what I want at first either.

So I keep on practising and making silly doodles.

And then, if I keep with it (which I haven't), by the time I am making the 300th doodle, it starts having a level of quality to it close to a proper illustration.

Seems to be 2 kinds of people. Perfectionists that need to get it done right the first time and perfectionists that keep messing with it until it's right. Dann's the former, I'm the latter :)
