I'm going to be the bubble burster and say I've seen this before. There's some on YouTube that are like magic tricks and they ask what your card was and all that. I believe it's linked annotations that also pause the video.

This ones different I figured it out. Because these guys are an ad agency youtube let them link to an external flash object. Haha.
