Hi crusade, If you are the crusade that I used to know, A lot of your work still lives on to this day, We use AssistQR still and Hackhunter and we have globally implemented antipoke as well.
I'm sure there are many things we could use your skills for. We have all had to learn u-script for ourselves without you around.
Due to all your past work I think you qualify for a Dev icon!

nice to hear you guys use parts of my software and I appreaciate the gesture of the dev icon but i think you deserve the credits for that.

Also good to hear you guys are able to make Uscript files yourself. I moved on to DLL servermods since this gives more flexibility.

Haha yea, Are you also a coder?

I just finished installing aa25, assist25, visual studio c++, idp pro + hexarray, ollydbg, uscript sdk and wireshark. Is it ok if i poke arround in your software a bit jonny? am interrested in the auth request you make to see if it is secure. Noticed you used a cryptbase.dll module

Go ahead, there are some more security improvements coming in the next update which is in a couple of days. The source code is also available on sourceforge.

Wow. Just wow. Never thought I would see you back again Crusade :) How have you been?

You might be happy to know I finally figured out how to compile mods, especially ones that don't error out or crash the server :D

Also, I've noticed your English has improved quite a bit since we've last talked :)

Its nice to see al least some poeple continueed my work and learned coding. Now you should learn c++ modding ;) gives much more functionality ;)

i released the full sourcecode of the c++ ultimate mod for 2.8.5. might be usefull for you guys, then you would really integrating a nice security.

PS. working on a C++ SDK Generator for AA2.5. this will give the oppertunity to make more advanced mods/hacks in c++ for AA

I remember you were looking into getting into school for a while there, possibly even coming to the US for an advanced degree. Did that ever happen? Weren't you wanting to study environmental engineering or something similar?

We don't want people making hacks for this version, But mods is fine.

I've been working more on building a computer repair business. Growing larger and larger every year. Skipped college completely, it's something I'll never do. But, business is slow right now, that's why I'm whoring these forums like crazy.

i doubt anyone is able to make hacks in c++ ;). It;s a bit more difficult then uscript hacking so don;t worry about that.

BTW why did choose for real studio? is it a nice programming tool?

Jonny found it easy to code in.

and it is cross-platform.
Title: Re: Crusader
Post by: Jonnym on Tuesday, February 28, 2012, 16:12:56 PM
I used realbasic for 2 reasons.
I'm not a real programmer so can't work with anything else, learned basic from using a BBC micro and Atari St back in the school days.
Realbasic builds for win, mac and linux all in one.

some poeple recommend the EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti FPB

I have also been working on a few companies. 2 i won't mention here since 1 is a hacking site and the other one a hentai. I also have 1 called kamermap.com where you can search for rooms on google maps and 1 is called survivaltas.com. there poeple can created there own survival bag

Nice to see you again, its been a long ass time.

I don't remember my name back when i first started playin with you, but i remember the pic of your epic setup with the servers and 3/4 computers all on like a bench in your kitchen or something close to that.

Someone showed me that room-finding website you made for college students. That's pretty cool.

Seems like a good computer you have there. I'm not too familiar with modern Intel hardware, I switched over to AMD for the better price/performance ratio. For a graphics card upgrade, I would suggest a 6850 or 6870. I'm wanting to get one sometime when I can afford it...

Crusade did you start World Eaters? I was asking spanky about when we all first started playing and we couldn't remember if that was you or not

The 560 Ti is quite a bit better than the 6870. It is more comparable to the 6950.

Right, I don't know much about modern graphics cards either :)

thanks.

some feedback on the assist program. i wouldn;t send the password unencrypted from the user to the server. its better to encrypt a password before sending.
Title: Re: Crusader
Post by: Jared on Tuesday, February 28, 2012, 17:11:19 PM
and it would be better to salt the passwords than just using md5, md5 has be cracked time and time again.
Title: Re: Crusader
Post by: Crusader on Tuesday, February 28, 2012, 17:13:35 PM
thats is true. if you want to use a really good methode you need ot use blowfish or reigein but i just give a simple example for them to inprove security allot.

The link from my server to the battletracker server is not encrypted either nor is any of the login screens on battletracker itself. Homey has not been around here for months so i don't see him doing anything about it. I don't see it being a problem since you can't intercept this data unless you come round my house and plug into my lan and the use a packet sniffer the second I login and even then you would have to be on the same network segment as me.

I'll come by for some tea & biscuits or fish & chips or just some crisps. I'll have a few passwords while I'm at it as well :D
Title: Re: Crusader
Post by: Crusader on Tuesday, February 28, 2012, 18:24:00 PM
Well i heared some guys screaming when we logged the passwords of accounts with a mod. this is bassicly the same.

The software looks nice. To bad you didn;t release the interresting parts of the source code, but smart ;)

i think the hwid is changable if you really want. It alsosucks you use ip the 109.75.175.102 for authentication which is not listed as a domain name. Wanted to use a simple host file edit to see what happens if i send my own response "playerloginok -{DG}-_Crusade 0101000813789V eZh#w~w1O" but already noticed you randomized the return. now i can;t test if my own return would have worked and accepted my fake login. will try it later when i have some more time.

Ohai crusade, Crunk is in jail now for having child porn. Just thought you would like to know. Cant really mess with him any more :(

I'm sure he would like proof.

We don't log the passwords, they are just passed onto battletracker. And i'm sure people trust us with their battletracker accounts anyway.

You could fake the login buy re-directing the login requests but then you would get 'invalid session id' when you tried to join a server.

I hope you know that ultimatley we have no chance against someone with your hacking skills and if you set your mind to it you could end this project for us. I just hope you choose not to do that.

@mans
Haha crunkie in jail, that sucks for him :P

@Major-Skrewup
I am not gona release any new hacks. any noobs who are cought with the current hack deserve it because if you use it correclty you can use it undetected

@jonnym
I desided not to make any undetected public hacks with SS cleaner for this game since you guys put so mutch effort in it. Would be a shame to see 2.5 die.

Guys, in order to be consistent, you should change the policy you stated many times in other threads:
"Zero tolerance for hackers."
to
"Zero tolerance for script kiddies. _Real_ hackers are welcome with honors (cause we fear them)."

Crusade contributed a huge amount of the code that makes our system work, Without his work this 2.5Assist and this auth system would not exists. He was there from day 1 of the project back in 2007.

If you wonder about Crusader activity on both sides, you can even dare to ask him about. I'm honestly curios about the answer, being his interest in creating exploits and anti-exploits a matter of personal projects he developed over time or anything else.

He just likes to code and get creative. It's neither good nor bad in his eyes, it's just that the coding is the same whether you're making hacks or anti-cheat stuff.

In the great cyber war between cheaters and the anti-cheaters, crusade is the dodgy arms dealer selling weapons to both sides.

If this were a real war with real weapons he would be shot. In a cyber war, we can do nothing but be grateful we at least have some weapons.
