Size isn't everything :D I used to have a setup kinda like that. I had a multi-function device (CD changer, Radio, Tape, Aux) that accepted input to be amped and put out the speakers. That was before I learned about quality :)

lol, they're not as good as they look. They're pretty old. I have it mainly to play my 360 on my monitor, which isn't often, because my monitor doesn't have speakers. They mostly sit there unused.

Things required:
Inexpensive (preferably press-board) desk that you don't mind modifying and adding stability to
Drill
Saw
Dremel (optional)
Creativity
Zip Ties
Staple Gun
Press-board may sound bad but I'm not afraid to modify it to suit my needs like I would a glass/metal desk. It can also be re-enforced with a handful of cheap deck screws. I dunno, there's people that are a lot more aesthetic-minded than me but this is just from experience.
Best of all, I'm sure you could have a really nice desk suited just for you for easily under $100, especially if you bought a used one from a furniture store to modify.

I need to update mine... I've moved a lot of stuff around in this room and re-done some stuff on my desk as well. I'll probably post a new one after I get my cable parts and some cleanup done. A clean desk is nice but mine rarely stays as clean as it does in the pictures I take. Right now I have post-it notes, a spiral notebook, leatherman, sharpies, mug, plate, breaker and a ethernet wire in front of me =\

I don't think your laptop has 2 20" screens, hard drives in RAID0, a CPU that runs 1.6GHz faster than what it's supposed to at 22C degrees or a sound system that delivers quality like you've never heard. But then again, I can't quite take it everywhere, that's what my HP laptop is for which... I should have gotten it in that picture to make me look more 1337.

Yeah thats a Logitech USB controller, :P It is wired because thats the only one I found (at a good price). I Bought it like a week ago so i could play Blazing Angels :P Works great with racing games as well lol.

mts? I also have a lot of crap packed in my room. Workbench, 2 chairs, couch, dresser, 2 shelving units, rolling table, toolbox, and a small table. I don't think this room is bigger than 15x15 feet. If I ever get it cleaned up decently, I may post pictures. In a few weeks, I'll be updating my desk picture once I have a few more goodies :)

Does 3 monitors really help? Like I know going from 1 -> 2 helps alot, but from 2 -> 3... what do you throw on there?
Ideally I'd have the 2.5 editor on 1, the Killing Floor editor on the next, and everything else on the 3rd. But I'm using one of those WWF-style folding tables so it barely supports the weight of a single LCD + waterbong.

I don't need it but there are times where it would help productivity. Usually I have Chrome maximized on 1 monitor and chat, folders, widgets and stuff on the other monitor. I've been converting some videos lately and having a 3rd would help. Mostly this is for proper integration of SoftTH in games. I have used 3 monitors (http://hsc.natescomp.com/index.php?topic=325.msg3222#msg3222) for that but it was far from ideal, having a 15" rotated so it's 768x1024 and then using a less than native resolution on the other 2 monitors, it just didn't look good and was too much of a hassle. Now with 3 all the same physical size as well as all the same resolution will overcome some of the challenges.
My desk is an awesome blank canvas; it's made out of particleboard. In it's stock form particleboard furniture sucks. But it can do great things when you add woodglue, misc bits of wood and deck screws. Mine easily supports all this weight but when I moved out here, it sat in storage with a bunch of stuff on it. Long story short, it sagged ever so slightly. To combat this, I've added 1-2 layers of foam tape on the underside of my monitors to make them level again. With some inginunity and basic materials, you can turn a particleboard desk into something that suits your needs and has more function than any pre-built desk. Wait till I post final pictures of my setup including snapshots of my epic wire management under the desk :P

- Headphones are recabled Beyerdynamic DT770/80. I think I paid $150-ish.
- The apple was pretty damn good, I think it was the best one of the batch I picked up. Crisp and juicy.
- The box would be a Maverick Audio TubeMagic D1 DAC/Amp unit. My "review (http://hsc.natescomp.com/index.php?topic=98.0)".
- I do not have a PS3. Without getting into a heated debate, I think consoles are a waste of money. That is a PS2 controller from my old PS2 that I had a while back. It is connected to my computer via an adapter that I had to rewire not long ago. I've seen and used various PC gamepads and it's tough to beat a Sony Dualshock.

Those controllers are full of win. Force feedback doesn't work in PC games, does it?

I know force feedback, in theory, could work. But, you need the driver for it and I have no idea where it is. I guess I could look into it but since the adapter is USB-powered, 5v isn't really adequate to power force feedback. I remember testing the driver that came with the adapter when I bought it with XP and when the motors kicked in, the red analog light dimmed. Right now, I just use a generic Microsoft joystick driver.

The first one I used was an old shitty monitor that wasn't even close to the same size as my laptops monitor. So I hooked up my new monitor and they are just about the same size. It was great. But same thing.. Not enough room for the space I have.. :|

Keyboard is really limited octave-wise, so I usually practice on the keyboard then run to the piano in the other room.

What's the point in that many guns? Seriously. You're not going to go hunting with a 50 cal as the cost in ammo alone would make the cost of the catch high and it would ultimately obliterate anything you could find. Same thing for the full auto weapons, not for hunting.
