Consoles suck. If it were a PC, you could take the part under warranty, RMA it, get a new one back and have the opportunity to upgrade. But it's not. If the Xbox is under warranty, you probably have to ship the whole thing back which would be a pretty penny. Chances are you'll either buy a new one or go without. Either case, it's a waste.

Yes you are rigth i am getting it fixed here tho, it will be delivered to me on saturday and i cant ship it over cos my xbox has lost its warranty cos it got chiped! 8)

i am currently looking at what would be the cos of me going gold? how much does the anual membership card cost? cos the games are freaking expensive here like.. 90-100 dolars each.

Wow. that's a lot. Here the yearly card is $50 but you can get it for $40 on newegg. And here I thought $60 was a lot for a game.... :o

here everything is very expensive and buyng a origian game will cost me 1/4 of 15 days of pay wich means is something i can´t do on regular basis, i am looking to get MW2 or others that i migth like so i can game them online i migth be able of buy 3 to 4 games per year.

I think if you combine the cost of the console and the number of games you would probably buy and XBOX Live membership, it would add up to:
-Very good desktop computer
-All the games you want and you don't have to pay to play online

I also have a 360 Elite.... with FHW, soon to be J-tagged.
The first day I bought it, I opened the case... Start cutting...
Basically I didn't want to have Rod, so I added a little fan on the little graphic cooler, replaced the original fans for talismoon with blue leds and also added a fan with temperature sensor which shows the temperature on the fan as a led rotation display...
Added pc little memmory heatsinks on every god damn big chips I saw inside, including the memories and hanah chip.

Pc is lot better, but xbox is from 2005 and It still has some impressive graphics, some games really look almost as good as the games of nowadays on the PC. And specially it's due to the fact that in the pc we'r near the screen where we play far from the LCD on the xbox, and there are even some recent games that look better on the xbox, just because of that...

There are plenty of people who will fix this, some good, some bad.
Ask them if they have a IF wave solder machine.
If they give you a blank look and say they use a oven or heat gun go somewhere else.

no need mate that damaged xbox is now used to keep my kitchen door open :8 and i got a brand new wich i have been ebating the crap out of it for a year now with out any problems!
