A box for Blue
« on: Monday, June 14, 2010, 16:35:52 PM »
Blue, got a few bucks? Wanna upgrade your computer? I have a Nvidia FX5200 and Kingston DDR400 512MB stick if you're interested. I do have more memory at various speeds/sizes.

I know DDR and DDR2 RAM is a bit spendy these days and I looked up the FX5200 and saw a couple around $15. So, $20 shipped and I toss in any cables you need or perhaps a NIC or sound card? I didn't know your mobo only takes DDR, I just looked at your post and you said it probably runs at 333 and DDR is the only RAM that does. :)

$20 sound fine. Your fine with money through the mail again? I think I remember you saying something about the bank being in town so checks take long to cash out.

You're too fast :) I edited my post. Would you need/want any cables or NIC's or sound cards or fans even? A check would actually be fine, I've since switched banks and this one is closer now, plus I trust you not to jew old man Spanky.

If you have another sound card that'd be pretty good. I can't really think of anything else, but your welcome to throw in anything you like. I'll find some use for it in one of the comps in the house.

Yea, I have plenty of sound cards. Probably 5-6 of those basic, popular Creative cards. They don't have many features but in many cases they can be better than onboard audio. I'll send you at least the Nvidia FX5200, 512MB DDR400 Kingston and the sound card. I'll probably toss in a few things for fun :) You still on Kilbourn? I have a few other things I'm going to ship out on Wednesday, I'll get yours out then, it'll save me a trip and I trust ya :)

Cool. I got it wrapped up with the GPU, RAM, 3 sound cards, 1 NIC, power cable and fan. I'll probably toss in some zip ties so you can replicate the 1337 job I did on your current GPU :P

I'm dropping the moneys in the post office box tomorrow at like 10:00, so you calculate how long it'll take to get to you.

Heads up it will be a check. You never know if you post-office friends or the local guy going postal starts raiding your PO box ;)

Ok, I'll be shipping sometime tomorrow. I doubt anyone would come out to my laid-back town and start messing with P.O. boxes. Hell, around here, people leave their cars running while they go into the drugstore, bank, post office. :) Anyway, I don't know how I'll ship it. Priority Mail (2-3 days) might be cheaper.
