My son just failed his second year at IT, so he had to take it again. He will go on and do the 3rd year. Good money in that after three years. 57 started the class and only 2 went on to the third year. So my son will do the third year with the remaing 4 guys next year. When you do 3 years the companys come to the university to get you for a job.

Im doing this in a special way, about 4-4,5 years school and some work experience needed for what I will get, but this school takes about 9 months. Requirements to get in were good english skills and much previous experience with computers through either work or hobby. Salary will be alright, if I get only a workplace for which Im overeducated, basic salary is about 2400 euros/month brutto, if I get a workplace which is according to my education, the start salary will be 2800-3200 euros / month brutto. Thats good for me :)

I work in local government as a junior legal expert, public law. Graduated last summer. Salary is alright, but could be better. The starters-jobmarked is shit because of the lack of experience we've got, of the bad economy and too much graduates who are flooding it. Luckily i got something

I graduated in communication design back 7 years ago, I used to work for a sort of digital printing company between 2012 and 2014, it was a bit of a mix between a printing service for small&big publishing company needs, like Mondadori, for industrial companies needs like Whirlpool and such (instruction leaflets and such) and a service for anyone who wanted to self-publish 100/200/500 copies of their own crappy version of 50 shades of Grey...ok, maybe its over-exaggerated but that nails the overall quality. In that company I used to work in the pre-print, aswell as printing from to time on some Canon and Xerox machines (they had an Igen4), pretty much small format equipment. In the end I also ended up helping the guys in the binding and finishing line cause by late 2014 nearly 30 of about 50 employees were fired or not working there anymore. By then I left aswell, and switched through a few workplaces, at first a small shop (terrible experience) for one month, then moved back to my town and i worked for 3 months at a small company which had some fantastic large format digital printing equip. Unfortunately it was a temporary thing and by the summer it was over. As of now I'm working as a sort of basic worker in a packaging plant. It is still sort of temporary too, even if I was told there's a chance I can get taught to work on the line as way more than basic worker. I wouldn't mind putting my hands and eyes to understand about the technical bits.

Same problem here about salary, working now as a combination of transport planner, warehouse manager and involved in a few projects. Plus making calculations for new work.

Yea, the market is terrible. I've got a dozen of rejected applications. But like i said, happily i got something and i guess this counts for you as well. There are lots of graduates who have to do work way lower than they originally planned to do.

Like i said you were working for someone I dont. I work for me and the men do what I say. Not sure why you cant do simple maths. I am guessing you made 3 dollers and fifty cents a square foot. And I am also guessing you never done it long as you have no clue about roofing in its various forms. You can call what ever you like. Just look at the simple equation. 1 panel fitted = $1000.00 3 panels fitted = $3000.00. Not hard to fit three panel. Also they were not surface fitted panels. Its a strip and fit and reslate around the panel. But I guess you dont even know what a slate is beside ever seen one. You aint got them out there. So if a guy make £3000 a day he would not play AA lol. Thats as bad as your sums. Four of us would fit two panels monday 1 panel tuesday, 3 panels wedensday. 1 thursday 2 friday etc. I am the boss, I decide the rate of pay the guys got. SO they got $20.00 per hr 8 hrs = $160. If its 8 hrs and two panels it was $160 plus $100 for the second panel. So on the day the fitted 3 panels. they would get hrs 10 $200 2nd panel $100 3rd panel another $100. so $400.00 for the day. average week they got more than anyone ever gave me.  Even when I worked in the oil industry. If i was getting 350 per foot I would make good money at that. I am guessing you are talking about rubber or felf shingles.

If you still have doubts why dont you ask for proof of my invoice book ? :) lol. You called and you called wrong.

Its just I called him on his super cheap computor he bought I asked for the link which he never supplied. So he was caught lying. And its still hurting him. Now hes trying for a pay back.

Look, i don't think anybody cares whether he got that hardware for free or if he paid on his own. Also, he can probably more than afford to pay for it, so...

Veg I have never worked for anyone in my life, I've always been self employed,
But this will be the 1st time in my life that I will work for someone but that will be only for 1 year to learn the new trade, then I open my own shop, let's face it can't earn a good dollar working for someone else,

Far as my roofing business back in the day I was getting $350.00 a square foot to tear off and re shingle not 3.50 , I don't need to lie to impress you,
Though I really do miss my remodeling business but too many whores, out there that cut throats, if your a business man u know what I mean

Far as my parts don't hate cause I don't have to pay for parts, I like when parts walk out the back door, free is better, yes its considered stealing but it's not me stealing them

Sleep on that

Lol no way on this planet are you get $350.00 per square foot to strip and refit new, even if you supplied the material. Not a chance. If you were getting that, then you would be far exceeding what I got. $3000.00 a day.  I will strip and refit easy 200 square feet a day. Thats $7000.00 a day. Nah your mixed up man totally mixed up. Square foot in minutes man. Millionair in no time :) Come on.

And that tells me you never checked :) If your struggling just ask. Simple maths really .

Are people seriously having pissing contests over who rips off their customers and employees the most to benefit themselves?

Shame.

I'm guessing he meant the part where you and Wickid were arguing about who made more money off of roofing (or something along those lines).
The arguments may have got a little heated, but nothing I could see that would constitute ripping off a customer. If the work is good, the customer is often happy to pay for the work (as opposed to paying a lot less and never knowing what you get in return).

wasn't going to bother returning to these forums anylonger. but figure i give u 1 last respond

When i was doing Tear off and re-shingle, typical homes in my area where 2800 sq ft meaning 28 square is what was in need, in my area it wasn't just 1, 2 3. but 4 layers of shingles, so go firgure
Like i stated i charged back in the day $350.00 per 100 square feet using above as a sample i would get $9,800.00  for a 2800 sq ft roof. typical roof would take 3 days with 6 men

Now i see prices in Flordia now a days is $165.00 a square foot, I wouldn't step on no roof for that amount of money

peace out all i have to say, no need to reply won't return to these forums
