Title: Website

Now we just need to make a nice web page to go up on AA25.org... Any volunteers?

Wordpress IMO. Easy to get up and running with content.

And most of us here are more than capable of modifying the appearance of wordpress. Fastest way to make a site.

Jonny, if you want you can email me specifics and I can install Wordpress and add some content like info and screenshots.

Register yourself an account on sourceforge, then i will make you a project admin, you will then have access to the www server.

Oh, so this website is hosted through sourceforge? I'll register but what I may be able to do might be limited. It might just be a basic html site.

*EDIT*
Here I am:

I have Wordpress installed but they jew you with a banner across the top. If I can find out how to get rid of it, I'll probably switch the site over.

Check it out:
https://sourceforge.net/apps/wordpress/aa25assist/

*EDIT*
I'm seeing absolutely no way to add a 3rd party theme or edit much. I think it's a dumbed down version of Wordpress, not to mention outdated and no visible way of updating.

Just throwing it out there Jonny but we could see about a subdomain on my hosting? I've been thinking about upgrading my account and Rodger offered me a 500mb/5gb (disk/bandwidth) hosting package that I'm probably going to get once I get the money rounded up. If that's enough for an Assist website, I'd be happy to host something un-restricted and give you FTP and Admin access.

Yes, that sounds like a good idea. I already have the domain aa25.org, all I would need to do is point it to your server.

Hmmm, I guess I just saw that post ^^ If you need a more complex site or forums, I could do it once I upgrade my account here.

I've created a basic site for Assist: http://aa25assist.sourceforge.net/index.php Anyone wanna help make it pretty? I'm pushing the extent of my coding knowledge here :)

*EDIT*
Damn IE fixes to do:
Image border = 0
Align navigation to left
Hover over and viewed link color

Booyah! IE bugs fixed, HTML and CSS is validated, CSS is compressed as well. On with the content adding!

*EDIT*
Whoops, for security purposes I need to change php includes to
<?php require_once('footer.php'); ?>

*EDIT EDIT*
Fixed.

To gather ideas for a nice looking Assist site, I've uploaded the original mAAp Pack site since me and Blue coded it by hand:

Yea, I just grabbed one real quick. Maybe we could get visitors' operating system and then display a screenshot for that.

I think thats pretty simple. Ill take a look into that.

Added blueblaster as project admin and nice work on the Site, Look simple and good at the same time. I will take another screenshot when the are more players on tho. Like yesterday there were 50 players online, thats good for these days.

i tryied to join you on game  ut for some strange reason server was kicing everyone out.

Thats really weird

I updated the site with a new design:
http://aa25assist.sourceforge.net

I'm kind of stuck as far as content. I have a little info, download links and a Windows screenshot. What else should be added?

*EDIT*
Jonny, the "Version" up at the top is pulling the first 10 characters from Data/ver.htm so whatever you change that to is what the site is going to show.

You can ignore the first 4 chrs.

I looked for info on how to do that but didn't come up with anything. I'll look more though.

First 4 characters? What? I'm kind of lost. Is this something on the assist site that I'm not seeing?

I think I just found it.

The version up at the top right. There's php code that pulls that from a file Jonny uses to display versions so when he updates that, it updates on the site. I'm showing only the first 10 characters of the file (excluding PB versions and whatnot) but I don't know how to only pull characters 5-10 =\

Split website info from the 25Assist Back thread.
