I remember a few clans back in the day who used some form of tag protection, but all i remember about it was how much it caused problems.

theres a server mod for Tag protection, but you will have to add ur clan members names everytime they change it and only works in your server.

It's no sense to register and protect clan tag. What is the reason?
-
Their clan is very very popular and they are scared that everybody wanna be in it

In theory this could make it impossible for somebody to play using their clantag, without being in their clan (on servers that support it of course). It would also in theory make it impossible for the impostor that pretended to be you to play on servers that support the tag protection.

I play this game since 2003, and my previous clan tags (and now, legendary Majestic clan tag) was never used by unprivileged people.
Nothing worth arguments.
-
the thing is that people (impostors) put tags of good clan, to act as if they were good. But they dont wanna be called hackers sho why the fuk would they put yr tags
-
Sorry, but I didn't see that situation for 9 years.
Good and legendary clans are known well, also players, specially old school competition players.
And this isn't bussiness or case of life. It's stupid video game.
