Title: System on MAC
Post by: ^^UnDiSpUtEd^^ on Sunday, February 12, 2012, 07:04:13 AM
Hey again guys, I got a question about making a system that you would be able to create a server on mac? If it's possible, I know it's many servers already there but any ideas from you guys? It's your decision what to make so hope you take this into discussion and let me know:) Maybe it's possible to make punkbuster that would work on mac? but i guess it's not just wondering:)

Sorry for wasting your time if it's stupid question but many I think thinking about this too:)
Thanks

OK here a free and easy way to run a server on a MAC (Intel Mac Only)

Download and install virtualbox...
http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/4.1.8/VirtualBox-4.1.8-75467-OSX.dmg

Download ubuntu server edition and install inside your new virtualbox machine...
http://ftp.free.fr/mirrors/ftp.ubuntu.com/releases/10.04/ubuntu-10.04.3-server-i386.iso

Log-in to your new ubuntu server and follow these instructions...
