Title: Question about Binds

Are the binds in this Wiki section still working and relevant ?

Particularly using a text file ? Where exactly would I place a file once created ?
 The alias now has 40 lines and the section on them says only 32 . Is it out of date now?

Thanks , Im using Windows so didt thik to read through posts concerning Mac .
Anyway are the Alias etc mentioned on the Wiki still relevant ?
