Het Amerikaans leger heeft sinds 2002 het spel America's Army ontwikkeld in de hoop jongeren enthousiast te krijgen voor een militaire loopbaan. Met dit spel kruip je in de huid van een Amerikaanse soldaat die verschillende missies moet doorlopen. Voor meer informatie verwijzen we jullie door naar deze pagina. De originele ontwikkelaars hebben na America's Army: Special Forces "Overmatch" het spel niet verder ontwikkeld met als doel America's Army 3 en later America's Army: Proving Grounds te ontwikkelen. Omdat America's Army 3 en America's Army: Proving Grounds totaal andere games zijn, is er een kleine community die America's Army 2.5 nieuw leven gegeven heeft en tot op heden blijft verbeteren en ondersteunen. De lijst met veranderingen voor versie 8.18 ziet er als volgt uit:
