The asterisks were definitely manually typed in. Roids, I, and a few others do this. We're saying nothing; it's basically making fun of the language filter.

Not a cvar for the word filter, he ment a cvar for the no marksmanship because the no advanced marksmanship is the only reason the parental control panel is locked, it just so happened that when he locked the parental control panel he had the word filter on so we are all forced to play like we are little kids lol

That's exactly what he was doing. He said watch this going type all stars. I agree with the filter being on by default, but don't agree with not having the option to turn it off. Yes young people play AA, but they have been playing it for almost 13 years now without being censored.

The vast majority of people who play this game are not kids, i would go as far as to say 98% of the community are not kids that would need the filter.

"NO VOTEKICK WHEN ADMIN IS ONLINE" is like telling me that you're the biggest retard around, and you like to decide with your own all seeing eye who gets to be kicked or not, saying that one second; just to turn around and kick the one initiating the votekick, lowering the people on the server to 4. Be powerhungry and retarded when there's 1000 people playing the game, by all means. But release your own balls when there's like 25 active players on 140 servers. Let people play and bitch all they want, if you get offended on the internet, quit life.

Oh i realize why it was done, I also realize that they have now censored the game for us just because they seem to have this personal vendetta for an exploit that is just used mainly on one map.Blame the few that exploited those settings.

Well that's what I usually figure the reason might be seeing as at most times we have more servers than players. :)

Hmmm, I wish I understood the contentiousness in this topic, but I just don't. Why are we angry again? I've read through the topic twice and still cannot see a real reason to be upset. The language filter hasn't stopped me from swearing. Lately, when I've used bad words in the console, it was a kind of spontaneous reaction to something that made me angry, like dying when I felt there was no reason to die. lol -- And after I type the 'bad' word as a quick reflex and see the asterisk, I've been realizing (most of the time) that the swearing was a pointless, useless exercise anyway. So the language filter, believe it or not, hasn't really bothered me since it's been enabled. Oh yeah, and it hasn't prevented me from "ghosting" and "hacking" (aka pwning) either.
If you wanna cuss, put an extra space between the letters in the swear word. And since there's not an endless pool of swear/censored words, it's not difficult to deduce what someone's trying to get across if their message includes the asterisks -- UNLESS they're just being funny and manually typing them in, which is easy to notice (which *single* letter in the alphabet is censored? Anyone?). And even if there is a whole message full of nothing but asterisks (not the manual ones), it won't be an actual sentence anyway, just a bunch of cuss words strung together. So it shouldn't be a big mystery.
Now why are we upset or frustrated again?
