Title: No or very low sound with 25Assist
Post by: OzGt351 on Saturday, February 25, 2012, 00:38:06 AM
Gday guys, was playing AAO25 last week with no problems.
This week when i started it up I had no sound or at least the sound is extremely low.
No settings on my end have changed that I know of.
I have tried turning all game sounds up to maximum but still no joy.
OS is WIN7, have checked in Control Panel and set the check box to DO NOTHING.
Still a problem...
Help please !

When you open the game minimize it and go to your volume mixer and move the AA volume back to the top. It happens every time for me and I have no idea why.

Yes it is the only game this happens with.
I am pretty sure all volume levels are max'd out.
Seems a few with WIN7 are having this problem...
Thanks anyway

Never had problems like this on my Wind7...

But my sound card grrrrr.... I really hate it. If I use the full volume it starts making a really bad sound, have to reduce a lot the volume in the sound-control of the sound drivers...

However I have a Nice soundcard here but still haven't used as I'm still finishing my project PC case... (I have the Auzentech 7.1 PCI-Epress)
Keep Cool

Came upon this while searching for sound fixes. If you go into Control Panel > Hardware & Sound > Sound > Communication and set it on "Do nothing" this doesn't happen.

I think with stock installations of AA, the sound volume is very low. Just go into the AA control panel and crank it up.

I'm being honest, already posted here before that when i changed from XP to Win7 my sucked so hard that i just left the game, that was maybe 2weeks after 2.8.5 got out, but nowadays, dunno if it is something to do with the new drivers from Creative to Win7, i have the same or better sound :)

What card do you have Sergio? OpenAL is still available for W7 64/32 bit. Latest drivers should install it, if not you can manually add it. (mostly happens with 64 bit).
