Title: Mix OneNightCups
Post by: iCaz on Sunday, January 06, 2013, 07:31:39 AM
As there are not that many teams around these days and there are several players of various teams around in the evenings. Is it a idea to introduce mix onenightcups?

Its a bit based on the drafts from the past but then different.

- Everyone gathers around 20:00 CET at the AAO 2.5 teamspeak.
- From the people that are there some people can be Team Captains.
- Each Team Captain chooses 1 player at the time.
- Finally there are x teams of 4 or 5 players.

Then we can decide on the cup format, which can be double brackets (winner and loser) and every team plays matches until they dropped out.

Like this unexperienced players will play with experienced and vice versa. We can start small with 4 teams and if people like it make it bigger.

Give me your thoughts?

Even if I'm not gonna play in it I can give my opinion right? I believe it could be funnier if there are no teamcaptains and if the teams are picked up randomly?

Would be nice.

Don't know if it's a good idea, in a random way the teams could be very unfair

teams could be much more unfair if players had to choose their partners. Would have been more original in my opinion

Ok, we just have to experiment with the right format, I guess. I think you guys like the main idea!

From my experience the teams were very balanced in EU drafts as captains always choose the best players first. And maybe we can put in a rule that no more then 2 player from 1 clan in a mix team.

Everyone is allowed of course! Maybe there will be time issues, we just have to experiment and see! Seeing all the positive reactions I will try and set it up =) you will hear more asap...

if you do it on Saturdays that time would work for any NA players who wanna play.

that is 11a.m. for west coast and 2pm for any east coast NA players.

two questions is do you have a vent,ts,mumble big enough for everyone and does everyone speak english

There's the AAO25.com Official Europe TS3 , I doubt Sergio will mind people using it for OneNightCup
