Modem is possible from provider so call them . Ore read the info on internet about your modem . But it looks like you must buy new one witb NAT loopback . Its in ore its not in your router/modem .  Look link suported modems/routers  with NAT L.  :  http://opensimulator.org/wiki/NAT_Loopback_Routers#Router.2FModem_Table

Very often you find it with name Port Forwarding in NAT settings of your router. Usually you can access these settings by typing http://192.168.1.1 or 192.168.10.1 to the address bar of your internet browser, login with username admin and default password is often the same than default wifi code which can be found from the bottom of your router, eg. g01vnyj78 or something like that. Some routers default password is same than username, admin.

Often port forwarding settings can be done in following way: NAT settings > port forwarding/NAT loopback > create new rule > type or leave the automatical external IP of yours, ports 1716 and 1717 for example, destination server IP (your computers internal IP, first of course take dhcp off in OS settings and give a new static IP for your computer, in same network than your router eg. 192.168.1.60, dns for example 8.8.8.8 and default gateway your router IP.)

And ports for destination also.
