Hi.
There is a idea of organizing one day championship on smallest map in game: mAAp Shipment.
At this moment I don't have all rules, but i can share with you draft:
Tournament system: Single-elimination or Swiss-based
Round time: 1 minute
Rounds: 4 (side swap after 2)
Players per team: 2 players
I'm also suggest that we should organize separated one for each continent.
Please say what do you think about it and if you want to participate it.

4vs4 is fine for UT04, we have also PBall and GlassKill house :)

Start with finalizing Shipment, then work on others after its success. 2v2 on Shipment is great. Time limit is also good. I have no opinion on the number of rounds.

2v2 should be easy to run, maybe a rooster with 3 ppl... 1 for "backup" :)

Only 1 barrel would crash Linux. I told you it's the port (which was a barely working unofficial contracted out port) that's missing Karma/Physics. It was ported by one guy; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ryan_C._Gordon

That could happen on any map really. You should be able to pick up a dead buddy's gun....

I like the idea but then there should be fewer background sound killing my ears. Thats the only reason I dont play the map.
Also for the system u gonna use u need to know how many teams there will be. If there are alot of em u can make 'groups" of 3-4 and then play it like the euro.
And there should be no defence or assault in the map, dunno what the names are currently

Upgrade your sound equipment then. It's fine to me, balanced with weapon noises.
But on most maps, when defense survive to round end they winning.
Are you saying that on Shipment when Assault dies, the round doesn't end?

I don't get it lol.
Scenarios:
- Both teams survive with no ammo left and no casualties. This could happen on any map. Only difference is there's no OBJ on Shipment.
- One team dies, other lives. Team living wins.
I don't know where the problem is.

Lol dafuk is this scenario, its kinda impossible IMO.
Teamnames should be North Squad and South Squad (no idea if spawns are noths and south) but the fact is that there is no attack, defence.
And I didnt understand yr post bout swiss thing :-X

Hmmm, that's what they already are. Maybe I or another dev already did this, but it's just waiting for an update.

Wait a second, are you the real ohscawet? He wouldn't ask others to change those names, he would patch them directly in the map binary :-DDD.

That's what we did in 2.3, you can change objective wording and whatnot by hex editing the server's copy of the map.
