You could incorporate it to use mumble. Works great on all platforms and uses little resources to none.

Actually, you're right. I'm sure Assist could do some voodoo so that when you join a server, it starts mumble and connects to a specific channel or whatever with people in it. It wouldn't necessarily need to be built into AA.

It also falls in line with the concept of "FREE".

All you do is have mumble with ptt key of v, works just the same.

yes its all very possible, it would require a u script running in aa to report back status such as team and death to the assist client which would do the magic with the mumble client. it would be a seamless integration like you have in aa3/4
however i am only doing bug fixes for now. i will not be updating assist again for a long while.

Well it could be an interesting feature, but I am not really sure if its worth the trouble of writing it. It would definitely need to have an ON [OFF] button.

I think better not, if someone join your game and start trolling your gameplay with spamming the channel just for "Fun".
And when you are not realy protected via a good and fast System (clientside mute- button.....howsoever) to void something like this.
Well it would be cool indeed and more Even because not everyone use mumble/ts or is in a clan to play as a team agains the enemy in the battlefield but there are much effort, and it should only be on until "younoob" die, to stop ghosting pro's. ;)
I know the DEV Team started to build this once but they stuck for some reason to finish this, possible they wooted already that the support of aao 2 engine was near the end.
BTW how have they solve this possible variation of spam in aa4 (i dont have played this game)?
LoL i can remember, i Player once a couple of years back any kind of CS in an server and there was some cool options like ingame Chat and you was able to spraying custom TAG's, i abused both, this was funy for me as hell i spammed the chat and fudged hard a pron-tubgirl pic and sprayed everywhere else... Walls, bottom rofl
