General protection fault. HELP!!!

OS: Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600)
CPU: GenuineIntel PentiumPro-class processor @ 2662 MHz with 2047MB RAM
Video: NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT (9573)

General protection fault!

History: UGameEngine::Tick <- Level Bridge Crossing <- UpdateWorld <- MainLoop <- FMallocWindows::Free <- FMallocWindows::Realloc <- 706D7564 0 FArray <- FArray::Realloc <- 0*2 <- FMallocWindows::Free

Does anyone knows the solution to fix tis problem, i cant play an its making me crazy. HELP!!!!

I log in and join the server. the game starts loading an just before PB starts checking it, i am thrown out, and a window with tis message pops out.

Try the Reset & Repair AA button in Assist as well as the Fix PB and Re-Install for DirectX.

It usually because your Windown OS or Drivers isnt up to date or you have a hardware problem.

I would start updating your video card driver especially if it does it after you get in game.  Then see what Windows updates there are and install them, restart your computer each time.

If that still doesnt work another bug meant you must completed uninstall AA and make sure to delete the directory totally.   Then reinstall.

i have updateted drivers for my video card, that didnt do any diference, but i dont know if i can update my windows because its not original, i have a pirate version.

Hey, unbelievable, but I just had the same crash, after my machine was shutdown couple of times due to power failures this evening.

I noticed that user.ini was corrupted (way to small, like 180 bytes), so i replaced it with some default, and the game stopped crashing.

If you click Reset + Repair AA, it will replace the System folder. Therefore it will replace the user.ini file.

You can also delete the .ini files, Unreal will automatically replace them with the default ones upon starting the game.

I know but there's dumb people out there who shouldn't be looking in the System folder. Best they use Assist to fix the problem instead of potentially causing more trouble for themselves.
