Hello guys,
I'm recoring some stuff on AA to make a little movie.
I use Fraps, bit it's the first time so I'm bit noobish. I recorded many sequences, 120 fps, full screen. When I open them on my pc, it's good quality. But when I put them into windows movie maker, quality really sucks, so do you have some advice so it could be better quality. And advices to make it less laggy while recording? Thx anyway
-
Thx for the good replu dude.
I'm downloading sony stuff now. But fraps trail? whats that ? how can i use 'normal' fraps lol
and how much fps i need to put for fraps? the more the better?
-
Ok thx. Well yeah I've got to good version of fraps, but I think I still have the www.fraps.com on top of video :/
Gonna learn abit bout sony pro stuff lol, gonna be epic.
For the music I was think bout Glitch mob, sorry if u dont like it :)

Windows Live Movie Maker is great, you just have to tell it what aspect ratio your movie is and then save in the highest quality possible. There's small visible loss but it's acceptable for how easy the program is.
-
Gonna try it if I don't understand Sony pro 10, thx mate

Hmmm I made the mistake of recording with sound, but I want to have music. So when I play the video the music stops and I hear AA sound. Is there any way to really delete the sound of a mp4? I mean not only mute but just delete it?

The video should have a separated audio track, take that off and replace it with the one you want.
Or maybe i recall that from an older version of MovieMaker (the one from Win7 doesnt look capable of the above).
-
In Vegas you can just delete the audio track. There's 2 ways:
Way 1) On the left side are the tracks. You can just delete the track holding the audio.
Way 2) This is for your knowledge, it's easier to do way 1. Ungroup the audio and video by right-clicking on the video clip in the timeline. I think the submenu is called Grouping. You wanna click on Ungroup. I believe that's what it's called. Afterwards delete the audio clip from the timeline.
Have fun. I'm pretty good with Vegas, if you have questions just ask.

Rgr that, thx for replies !
Blue, any idea how to add text in my video, but I mean i'm ghosting around a map and I want text on A wall. U see what I mean? didnt find any tutorial bout that
-
I wanna sleep but if you can understand me awesome cuz i dunno what I'm writing at this point.
Make a new video track. The command is in one of the menu's at the top. I'm not sure which version of vegas your susing cuz they keep swithcing the location of this window, but find the media generator tab/window. You wanna drag and drop the 'transparent text' generator on the timeline for the new video track. OH BTW, make sure that the track with the text is above the AA video. If it isn't just click on the track's box on the left side and drag it above the AA video track. Edit the text and your good to go, don't forget to add the fade in and fade outs of w/e for the text if you need it.
-
Uhu gonna take at closer look at this :)
Good night lol
PS: Sony vegas pro 10 here
Edit: I've done what you said, but with that transparent text there is a light blue colour in background, dunno how to delete it, can't put it on transparent :O
And if possible i'd like it to stay on wall, even when i ghost above or near it, u see?
-
I have Vegas on my desktop. When I get the chance to go on it Ill make a picture tutorial for you because unless I look at the program I don't remember how to do everything.
BTW, for when you ghost above/near the wall, you need to use keyframes on the text layer so you can move the text with your player movement.
-
Oh ok thx alot
Edit: I finished a part of my movie, but when I play it with VLC or windows I have no image. I had at my first movie but decided to start all over. And I already changed resolution to see if it had smt to do with it.
Any ideas?

Could be the codec used in vegas or in vlc. Vegas sometimes is really retarded. The best workflow I get is from using xvid. If you don't have it you can download it here http://www.koepi.info/xvid.html
Now when you open vegas and choose File>Render you can pick the xvid codec. I've never had xvid fail in vegas and the file size and quality is good. The hardest part is learning how to tweak the settings because they are not very straight forward.
I keep saying this, but when I hop on my desktop computer that has vegas I'll screenshot the settings I use for xvid.
Did you figure out the transparent text thing? I've been busy and kinda forgot about the thread.
-
Well that transparent thing is kinda weird, so I just addes some text that I could move with key frames, so it's all I needed ;)
