Can anyone open the Battletracker.com site? Assist login on their server and i can't open their page, so that could be the issue...
-
no, true. you can not connect to battletracker.com
-
and with no authorization mode on server, you get kicked - after last update - with the following message:
cvar splash ....... ban for 5 minutes. you can login again, but after one round you get kicked again.
sh.....t!
-
Did they have scheduled a maintenance? I can't access battletracker or AAO25 either... :(
-
but you can open console again, repeat command and you are in again.
not that good to play, but...

I'll just be playing with myself in that case. If I wanted to do that, I would of just gone to Brazzers website.

auth system up and running again :)
thanks

If somewhow BT 'dies' we can still make things run ^^, but "only" for those who logged in after recent updates.
most stats will be lost, just honor, points to next honor and 'vital' infos are stored atm, in case this happens, only old users will be able to play before we set up an account system and allow new users registrations.
But hey, don't worry, BT is still alive! :).
-
question is, will you run it for 50 players only?
-
What would be nifty if you guys took over auth from BT is to limit 1 account per IP. That would fuck over quite a few people like those stats whores with idle computers.

Not possible because a lot of people have dynamic IPs. What would happen if your IP switches to an IP that already had an account used on it?
-
IPs are in ranges. Mine is 64.126.x.x it will never be 98.154.x.x. Since modems only hold one IP at a time, you couldn't have multiple accounts on at the same time. I doubt LANs are done much for AA so that wouldn't be an issue. What could be done is log the most recent IP and if another account matches it, deny it. That way you always have an updated IP. Sure, it's a lot of work to implement but let's face it, it never will be implemented :) Just ramblings from me.

What about those cases of Father/Son, Brothers, Lan Houses... etc etc?
I do know a few cases...

That's a good point I forgot about. Me and my brother played AA together for the longest time. That wouldn't be possible if we limited each IP to 1 account. Then again, like Spanky said, this was never going to get implemented in the first place. Way too much work.

Mine varies from
88.72.xxx.xxx
to
94.222.xxx.xxx
to
188.103.xxx.xxx
It depends on the address range your ISP is holding.
For me it would be the same case like "BiG_SerGiO" said.
My wife and me are playing together most of the time.
Dead End for us...
