Havent played AA in a long time and difficult to get back in it. Cant seem to aim and shoot....
Frustrating....And have been stuck on my current honor since 2007 or so....

It definitely is one of the more difficult games to get into. However it's very rewarding when you get decent so I think it's worth it.

Unless you play every day, don't play to win, play to mess around. I feel the same way because I play so infrequently that any tactics that I happen to pick up on are lost the next time I play. Play every day if you want to be good.
-
Oh, I hear you both. Back in the day, I used to play daily. But havent really touched AA since the release of AA3....So need to get back into it, relearn to aim and shoot.
-
Just be prepared to be disappointed. You WILL continue to suck unless you play a few hours every day. And no, they're not hacking :)

as you maybe still know, the settings (like mouse sens, graphic resoution..) are the biggest problems you have to go through.
once found the correct settings, half the way is done.

I used to play like 3+ hours everyday last year, seriously, and it wa the only way to keep my current level.
I then took a 3 months break and played again this weekend and it fell like crap. Couldn't hit shit, but again after a day of practice it was all back.
Like Spanky said, there will always be players that play a lot more than you, so it's normal they'll kick ass compared to players playing once a week or whatever. Play for the fun and try to get better by changing tactics :D

It'll get better.
If you play an hour you'll be better than Spanky anyway :D

It usually just takes a bit to get back in shape, but as soon as you get the feel into it again, usually you can kill a lot again :)
At least that's what happens for me usually.

My main problem is that I tend to shoot before identifying targets.....Lots of ROE........Yesterday it was a pretty good playing. Got a kill, got to objective. My honor was in track to go up to 39 and then followed with 2 bad matches and 1 with lots of ROE.....And honor went back down.....

honor is only a number, take the time to enjoy the game
