ALTFIRE MUST BE ON MIDDLE MOUSE BUTTON BY DEFAULT. just click instead of scrolling duh.

there are more than 100 options for you to bind your keys.

I use a personal configuration, i think there's not a problem if i want jump with right mouse button, if i want use alt fire with mouseweelUP, if i want use CAPS Lock ecc ecc... what's the problem NOW? i can't understand why!!!

Yes i know that i "could use another button", but if i use that configuration FROM 2003 it's an abiths and I LIKE it!

dont bind anything containing the word "FIRE" on wheel up or down, following this will not get u kicked.

trust me, If pb allowed me to check and kick for only FIRE not altfire and supportedfire :/
PB is ancient, theres no reason to write 1 line for every cvar! it could be 1 line and the things to be detected etc etc

About time for this, to many use single fire with mouse wheel set to fine adjustments.

It's simply a habit... i ever used it in this way. I never used it for shooting, i never used macro ecc ecc... I would like to know who changed this rule, why he have not put an exception for words "ALt Fire".

I mean, system need simply an exception.

 I forgot to say THANKS to all the people that are made this new update.

I can understand most of you since i've had altfire on mousewheel up, supported/203 on mousewheeldown and reload on middle mouse click. I've done so, because i'm not a touch typing system user. Generally, i've always to have a slight look on my keyboard before pressing a key. That's what i didn't want to do during gaming, because every single look on your keyboard while being on a server in a game session can make a huge difference between death/survival. So i've sticked to the before mentioned mouse configuration. But, i have found a good alternative, all you need is a mouse with a 4-way mousewheel. I've assigned the keys 'z' to left mousewheel and 'h' to right mousewheel, reload is stil on middle mouse click in my mouse settings. I can tell that it works pretty well.

I too, have had the same binds as this since the game first came out.ACI (Anti-Cheat Incompetent) came up with these cvars long ago,but they too even scrapped them, because they gave no advantage in the game.Alot of us older players have enjoyed this game and play the game the way it's ment to play.

to all u dudes out there that has altfire somewhere else and says "just put it on middlemouse" just dont understand the difference in doing this. i admit that im no piano player so it is really, really hard to click the middlemouse while doing everything else on the mouse. usually my indexfinger is busy holding down the left mouse button since i pulled the sprint on the nade and at that point, to click with middle finger......SUCKS! half the time i dont get it right now. my middle finger is mostly used with my girlfriend and you dont need much strenght there so, rolling the mousewheel was perfect.

now my point after a week of trying different buttons for altfire.

i most likely will have to re-arrange my entire button set-up, there is no "just put it on middle mouse".  :?

i applaud the anti-cheat measures and i understand them, more of it! but the truth is, i never expected to suffer in this way for it.

anyway, case is closed i guess!  :)

I use both "V" and mid mousebutton(scrollwheel) for alt fire.
When I roll or cook a nade I use "V" and when I switch fire mode I use mid mouse button.
Works perfect for me atleast.

Like i've said earlier. If you have a 4-way mousewheel you can make use of it and it will be pretty much the same, imo even better. Back then and until v7.14 was released and blocked these settings i had put Z on left mousewheel click (also cooking nades) and H for supported/203 on the right mousewheel, that means i had to make a scroll movement from mid-top for altfire/nade cooking and a a scroll movement from mid to down for supported/203.
Depending on your mousewheelscroll characteristics it could possibly happen that you make more scrolls than neccessary.

With my current mouse configuration i just tick the mousewheel to left(Z) or right(H). These are even smaller movements if you compare it to my 'before-v7.14 mouse configuration', especially if you have messy mouse(scroll)wheel.

I like it and i recommend it if you want an alternative key binding configured solely on your mouse instead of keyboard bindings.

This may seam an inconvenience for some but the point was they needed to get the command Fire off the scroll to stop the single shot noobs using it as an auto for less recoil simple as that.

Yes if you have a mouse that does macros you could set that to use another key as a fire button, nothing can control that but at least they are making an attempt to equal the playing field.

With my suggestion you don't need to make a macro. Just play with the default AA2 ingame control settings for altfire 'Z' and supported/203 'H'. Then assign on your 4-way mousewheel the right mousewheel button with the letter H (to tick to the left) and the left mousewheel button (to tick it to the right) with the letter Z.

yesterday I removed this cvars OLNY, period.
BUT , it will only be removed on servers that have had a restart(read stopped on assist client/ ded. server) since I changed it.

looks like some  AA players don't know how to remove their binds / change their keys or even dont know what the kick is about :/

Balestra, I saw on IE that your signature was incorrect, I fixed it. hope u wanted it to be lol;

Does that mean, that you can bind altfire with mousewheel again?

Dunno what you are talking about since i don't use IE, but if it was for a good reason, why not.
