Title: Brightness , Gamma, Contrast
Post by: ibad on Tuesday, August 20, 2013, 17:32:06 PM
You disallowed the editing of these? Why on earth would you ever do that? Now everything is dark for me because my monitor is a POS. What possible reason would you ever disable them?
EDIT: Please note I do appreciate all the modifications and work you did to make 2.5 work again, and I thank you for that.

No reasoning? From what I've seen on the shout box ( skimmed through ) you did it to level out the playing field so no one has an advantage.. Bogus reason. Now people would have nice lcd monitors can see fine while others have to suffer.
Just because it looks good and visible on your screen does not mean it is the same for the 100+ other players.

It wasn't "done" at all. You just can't edit the settings while in Advanced FS. That info is in the shoutbox.
For me though, I'm glad ppl can't edit while in-game. I have a shitty monitor and don't have issues or feel like I need to have an advantage over someone else.

So lets say im playing a nice bright map like mAAp pipeline, then they change the server to mout, I now would have to leave the server change the brightness and rejoin.
This is absurd, who even offered to include this feature?
Also Im not looking for an advantage id just like to be able to actually see on the darker maps.
P.s. Its not an advantage if everyone has the ability to modify the gamma and contrast. Your lazyness to lower the contrast or raise the gamma to see better is your own fault / "disadvantage"

Hi all.
No panic and insulting, ibad ;) Just go to assist --> settings and mark the option as spotted by the red arrow in the picture and you can edit your brightness, gamma and contrast in game as before. I had the same promblem, when "advance FS" was marked...
