I like the game a lot, it's fun to play in competition, and for public its fun if revives are off in my opinion.

However its not like AA2 where you can just play the same map hours and hours and still enjoy it, but it's fun to play once in  a while

I played it a little around when it first came out. I liked the fact that you had to play both sides and weren't stuck on one map.

However, since I have a laptop that's 4 and a half years old, It couldn't really handle it too good.
But I do understand that this isn't really a problem. I mean who the hell plays on computers that old anyway? lol

Pretty much how i feel about it, i tend to play it weeks at a time and then just stop completely because I'm bored.

Used to play it quite often, with the latest update the default map list is kinda annoying and the default round set is now made of 15 rounds, not ideal (can get boring easily). The new C4 mode (demolition mode) is plain fun :) .

Btw the mission editor is coming out on March 27th http://forum.americasarmy.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=12164 (http://forum.americasarmy.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=12164)

Looks like they will provide a "basic" interface mode and an "advanced" one (the UDK like, classic and complete editor interface). Also looks like they're remaking some maps like Mount McKenna.

New engine? It's using UE3, just like AA3 did.

Has Potential, just needs to work of AA2 a little bit more and bring in Less noise with footsteps and add Doors :)

the footstep sounds are actually rediculously low. At least you can hear them well but they just disappear from a rather close distance. No fading out at all.

i dont like pg at all. to fast for me, strange movements like aa3, to many things to watch for. maybe not my comp is too old - maybe it's me :)

It's not really faster, but it seems faster as for some reason the soldiers look smaller and the areas look bigger, but the distances are the same as in AA2.

And it is rediculously easy to headshot people at this point.

I honestly don't like the whole sliding thing, especially since you can slide up stairs and stuff that makes no sense. I also am not a fan of the small maps, hospital and redline are great though.

Anyways, for anybody who would like to try this game competitively, upcoming saturday there is a draft.

To explain, this, I'll just copy the following news post. Last draft I was organizing it, this time somebody else will do it since I am not here saturday.

I think it's fun to play this game once in a while, but never forget AA2 of course.

(https://aao25.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fv357%2FJames_Carter%2FDraft_zpsb42b0791.png&hash=24f170682233cb92751569cadbdfc066)

http://www.aao-daily.com (http://www.aao-daily.com) would like to extend an invitation for the next EU Draft event to you and all of your friends. If you do not know how a Draft works, here is a very quick overview:

- one night tournament for players (not teams)
- you join teamspeak at ts.aao-daily.com before 8pm to ensure your spot
- captains then pick their teams one by one (similar to how it was done in school)
- those teams then compete in the tournament

For more information like rules. brackets, and other funny things please visit: the aao-daily webpage (http://aao-daily.com/index.php/component/content/article/43-news/285-aao-daily-draft-eu-saturday)

This is a tournament for all skill levels, so whether you are a seasoned AA and FPS veteran or just picked up the game yesterday: everyone is welcome and will be treated with respect.  It goes without saying that we do not tolerate any form of cheating or unsportsmanlike conduct. We reserve the right to remove anyone from the tournament that we believe is either causing trouble or negatively effects the experience for others in any way or form.

We are all here to have fun while learning to know players from other teams and enjoy fragging together for a few hours. Of course we will also be live streaming action from the tournament at http://www.twitch.tv/jcarter123 (http://www.twitch.tv/jcarter123) .

See you Saturday,

Bart

The server side can adjust the amount of damage that is inflicted when shot.

Yeah, as you probably saw James Carter likes to stream our matches, however the only problem is that the level of most teams are too much below ours ( a lot of teams are coming from AA3 competition), it really shows that AA2 took a lot more skill to be good as in this game the old AA2 teams are the top teams at the moment. Except for [PTwars], they keep losing every time (sorry Sergio :D )

For example in TWL Winter league there are 2 teams undefeated: Delete. and SNLSTB, both consisting of old AA2 players.

Anyways, I would really recommend people who would like to play this game and tried competition here to play the draft there. You will see your skills in this game will really help you a lot and you will actually be able to do decent there as well.

I honestly feel that AA2 has not helped me at all in AA4.
