AR sight was "done by hand". I forgot to put the Texture settings on Max.

does it affect the animation or the aim at all(like recoil accuracy)?

and I did it with EditObj, m16 and ak sights were already in the correct position, had to tune AR sight, almost every aspect of view can be modified, for some reason when I use 3d it doesn't come back to the normal view(like the overlay sights do)

Everything works normally, except the gun moves too much to aim properly. I used to increase weaponbob because it looked good when walking. But it was terrible to zoom with the M4.

I saw the weapon bob video on youtube, did not saw the difference lol
I'm thinking of a  Mod to lower this value when (b)InZoom, gonna see if it works with "Set" command, I hate to use Iron sight on M4, Reflex sight aren't bad :D

Yes, I did all using editobj/pokes
It's possible to force(I know how to do client-side), but they won't work like the M4 sight, needs more research lol
about the light, it must be in Assist :P, it does miss a "fade" effect because when u get out of the light source the effect just disappear instantly :D

Looks great. For the 3D sights, I think we should us IsZoom to set weaponbob to 0. Then when not zoomed, weaponbob can be set back to normal. Weaponbob uses small values like 0.04 and it is in User.ini.

This client-side stuff, it should be enabled by default but have an option in Assist to disable it for whiners like Killa :)

DO what you want, I don't even play the game. It just seems pointless, kinda like when everyone was obsessed with adding a knife to the game.

I agree with Killa, significant changes like this shall be made optional, not enabled by default.
Then nobody is going to use them because they won't know that option came around. AA players are stupid, things have to be forced upon them before they're willing to try something.

But AA is not some new, in-development game. It's an old classic, which people play mostly beacuse they are used to it. Forcing significant changes upon players won't do any good, can only make them quit. And I don't think that the reason is that 'they are stupid'.

Come on, we are talking about _sights_ here. Not some serious bug, just sights.

But they are stupid, stubborn and narrow minded. It's a fact that's been proven. You have to force things to show people that the feature is available then they can disable it in Assist if they want to go back to boring lame gameplay on Bridge.

I think this belongs to the kind of things that actually are an improvement but that should also get some feedback from the community (such an hard thing considering how poor the feedback was until now - both in terms of quantity and quality).

So, considering that most of the players don't even bother to visit the forums, you would hardly get them to post a feedback unless you use some kind of a news platform integrated into the Assist login page (which they would kind of forced to see, at the very least)

well, its for 25Assist, not for A'A, u can't ignore it! :P

draw the forum poll @ the client window, if 25Assist Agent, Draw a link to the forum discussion + a register link, that's something Pit can do too, I hope u get my point.

This is why I hate AA. Who the fuck would say no to a slight lighting improvement and 3D sights? Probably the same retards that play on the lowest texture quality setting for no reason. It's amazing that people would say no, what would they like to see, less graphics? No lighting? I mean... really. Come on.

Well, I must admin I'm one of those 'retards'. I definitely feel no need to improve the existing sights, moreover, I think this would only put off existing players.

Sights are not a detail, this is significant aspect of gameplay. Changing it in game that old doesn't make any sense.

I don't see how it's a change in gameplay. It doesn't affect tactics or how a user plays, it's just a graphical change, just like digital camo.

3D sights for all weapons was supposed to happen earlier but the Devs had to follow someone else's time schedule. Anyway, first thing is I have to finish the digital camo.

I feel like 3D sights is such a minuscule change that it would not be noticed by everyone at first. If anything, the dramatic lighting option is more minuscule and can be done without asking users. 3D sights can be polled.
