A discussion came up in TS about us all gathering in one location to meet, party and play AA 2.5. We chose Chicago because many on TS do not live far from that location.

No, I would not.
Simply because it's half way across the Earth and from my previous experience, the round trip would be 600+ euros and it's just not something I'd be willing to cough out.
With that said, for the NAs, it might be a good idea. In fact, I will not vote and hope that only those who live in North America will vote.
But if European players were to meet up there would have to be another location (preferably in Europe).

Maybe you should encourage European Players to do the same somewhere in Europe. I think that would be very cool.

Ok here is my suggestion.
I am near Cape Town. (for you that do not know where that is, it is in Africa, actually in South Africa .... looking at a world chart it is right down at the tip :up:)
The current exchange rate is :
1 ZAR = 0.086 USD
1 ZAR = 0.076 EURO
1 ZAR = 0.056 GBP
I will cost you nearly nothing to get here, stay here or eat here. I am on a farm so you can camp and act like the hill billy's that some of you do in here :D
Furthermore it will not cost me my life savings to get to Chicago :shock:

We actually had a LAN in 2009 in Antwerp with a lot of competitive teams, that was fun :)
I would join a meeting in Europe. I suppose germany/poland would be most central for most?

Adrien bro, are you saying that Chicago isn't far from you?. Yes my connection is lousy but I do get a kill once in a blue moon :) but my lousy connection is to your advantage as it just makes you look good haha.

If I book well in advance, I can get round trip tickets from where I live to Chicago for about $400. I can manage that. Keep talking about it and lets see if we can make this possible.

I did say no, because of the distance from Z?rich to Chicago. a bit far away just to play some rounds. but the idea is good, you will maybe have some old players back then.

I live 14 hours and 7 minutes away. I would definitely save up to meet up with the coolest cats on earth and chill. But we have to convince Spanky to come. We could meet up in August... around the 9th and throw a double birthday party for him and myself. lawl I'll even drive my gas guzzling 1985 iroc-z all the way there to show off.
