i will maybe do this. but going back to aa 2.5, i must have the possebility to run my own server, like it was with command line or aa2-servermanager. i dont want to lease a server - it is nice to have the own one running next to myself.
so there are some questions about that.
- is it nessessary to rent honoring lincens like by pragmatic
- how can i join my server; only installing 2.5 and aa25assist
you see, there are a view questions about to be anwered before i switch back, cause a lot of players wont.
i must have some very good arguments to do that.
but thanks all for doing this work, cause aa2 is realy one of the best games i ever played (and i am still doing it :-)))

You you do not need to rent honor, Its ALL Free.
You need to use 2.5Assist to run a server..
And yes you need to use 2.5 to join said server.
Running your own server is easy, just install assist, Renting one is not so easy.

can i run it with 2.8.5 as server installation or do i have do downgrade my aa2 2.8.5 ?

Assist is ONLY for AA v2.5. There is no way to make it use 2.8.5 files unless Jonny decides to spend a lot of time making another version but why would he do that when 2.5 is cross-platform and has mAAp and, the most important thing, already fully works :)
