Title: UE3 UDK
Post by: Spanky on Wednesday, September 08, 2010, 17:39:42 PM
I'm shocked, outraged and stupefied. I've spent about a week complaining and moaning about .5 - 4 FPS in the UE3 UDK editor. I finally asked on the UDK forums and got a simple and quick answer:

In DefaultEngine.ini change "AllowNvidiaStereo3d=True" to "AllowNvidiaStereo3d=False".

It was one of those WTF moments. Typical Epic/UnrealEd style frustration followed by a simple workaround/fix. I can't articulate the disappointment and shame I felt in realizing this simple fix. Then came the question: WHO THE FUCK NEEDS NVIDIA STEREO 3D IN THE GAME EDITOR!?!?!! as well as WHAT NUMBNUT AT EPIC DIDN'T OPEN THE AUGUST BUILD OF UDK BEFORE PACKAGING IT FOR RELEASE?!?!?!

Bleh. </vent>

It's Unreal Development Kit. The software I'm trying to use for the tank game. I'm actually having a decent amount of fun with it.

I tried using the "taunting thumb" trick on 2.8 the other day and was flashed. :\
