Rock Band 3

I am super excited for this. They've completely re-done the guitar (although they old guitars will still work) with 17 frets and 6 strings (and probably 4 strings on the bass, although they haven't said that and it would force you to buy an extra guitar) as opposed to 5 buttons and little lever. The guitar is actually fully functional if you plug it into an amp, which I find amazing. I'm alright at guitar but I know very few songs and I haven't had the guitar stringed in months. Additionally I fuckin' suck :) I'm hoping this can help me a little in playing for a price smaller than a trainer.

Harmonix has really shown their dedication to this market, even going back to make EVERY song in rock band history (1000s) operational with these new guitars and (if I heard right) drums.

I have an actual guitar too. I don't see how they could make the game accurate to actually playing the instrument without making it crazy hard. Should be interesting to see how this plays out.

=\ I want a real one. The game looks pretty cool but I wouldn't play it though, even if I got it for free and had a console system.

At least you can play songs :( Plus mine is acoustic and all the songs I want to learn tend to only sound right on electric lol.

I have an electric and can play a few easy songs, nothing really good. Acoustics are also cool because some songs sound awful on electric guitars. Playing guitar is hard as hell.
