Nice, Spanky is like a modern Jesus or something lol.

I like how he is trying to use EQ's now to boost the footsteps sound. Honestly, the game is pretty playable completely mute. Sometimes listening will just confuse you.

Not really, That's how the big AA teams play. Once dedicated players like Scandii can hear someone all the way across the map. It really kills the fun of the game. It especially sucks when you get killed by the one guy sound camping in a public server. Lame people.

I would call them lame instead of big then. But w/e I think they play on the depreciated 2.5 version I believe? Even if they don't I havent touched the game for months. Theres no appeal to play the game anymore.

Well that is how every team in the 2.8 tournaments played. I consider it lame, they consider it skill.

Games need to implement WASAPI to bypass the Windows' mixer and play sounds at a set volume and automatically switch between software and hardware modes depending on configuration. With this method the only hacks that people could really do would be with hardware to modify the sounds.

Adjusting game settings to give you better "skill" is lame and artificial skill at best.

Sounds nice and all but I think a lot of Devs aren't game players so they don't think of things like that unless its spoon-fed.

Oh, yea, I totally don't expect to see something like this in games any time soon. Even if it was implemented, people would bitch and moan over a volume control.
