I have a surprise for most of you.
I've just finished reverse engineering assist client (kernel-mode windbg is a good thing you know). And it's obvious, that there are still the malicious features built-in, that allow it to spy on the users files.
All the files on your system can be read, modified, uploaded, whatever...
Is that fair?
I ask you again: is that fair for this little community, to spy on it? Is it?

It was my understanding that this feature was removed from the client and auth server. I know the functionality no longer exists on the admin side of things. Maybe it wasn't removed on the client? There is still the ability to upload things like screenshots taken within Assist, perhaps that's what you're seeing?
It's inaccurate to say we can read, modify or upload any files on the system we choose. We simply can't do that.

Anyway, most of the "community" won't care about the fact their machines can be raped at all time. So this is just a warning for those who can think.

It can be by interest or just by obsession to give a negative image of assist.
Anyways, there's no sense in just stating this. You should give admins some information about what malicious features you're talking about, or just not install the game.

That's what one could expect: a "community" consisting mostly of non-intelligent people for whom malicious software is just a "normal thing".

Well, maybe you are the one who helped develop/obscure it, as the previous version was much less elaborate.
