Heres the idea if its possible lets make all maps have random spawn points as in side ( Defense/Assault ).

Take urban assault for example, you wouldn't know if you were assault east or assault west until the round started. I think this dynamic would make the matches more fair, and make teamwork more of a value because you would never know which side you were going to start on.

If we could make it so each side was played the same amount of times we could run it on assault/defense sided maps. Example, if a server had 10 rounds, you would play 5 rounds on assault and 5 rounds on defense, you just wouldn't know the order in which you were playing those rounds.

The only outlier would be VIP maps, unsure how this would work since on side has the "VIP" slot.

Whats your thoughts on this?

I totally agree with this for double-assault maps. No reason this shouldn't exist.

However, doing Assault/Defense maps, it would have to be done right with testing. It could be pretty fun though.
It's like shaving your pubes to make your junk look bigger.
Might look bigger, but it aint.....

The last round of the match you would know if you counted earlier, though :D

Why would it not work on Assault-Defense maps?

It takes away people's choice for defending/assaulting.

A way it would work would be like on Pipeline, defense would spawn in north pump and assault would spawn on the south hills. Something like that. Just keeps defense defending and assault assaulting.
It's like shaving your pubes to make your junk look bigger.

I believe that was the idea - to have people play both sides. It's like the "switch side in the middle of the match" idea, except it's more random.

correct. I'm not saying change the position of the spawn points, those would remain the same, just one round you might be on Defending and the next you would be Assaulting.

I like the idea of random spawns on every dual assault map. I'm not sure if we could make sure you spend the same amount of time on both sides though. I don't think it's a current option in the editor.

Maybe you could just choose this in server settings, so the real defence heroes would still have some servers to play on?

And I don't see a problem with the VIP maps. One side has a VIP slot while the other has the top slot, so it's like 'taking a risk' to have the top slot, sounds fair.

It works the way you describe if you change sides. However, the point here would be to have people randomly spawn on either side. Sort of like Dockside.

I haven't fiddled around with the editor myself and I don't know whether or not one slot can be VIP on one round and regular the next.

VIP rushing through ambush garage to docks to helipad. All they would have to do is smoke helipad a little bit and it's over :D

I disagree, in this case if some ambush team players rush from hospital to garage, they might see vip close the corner of garage alley. Of course he might run to ww or hide inside. Rest of ambush team is taking heli so its really not that easy. I find it way harder than vip rushing down what happens now.
