It's possible. The smoke emitters are network emitters, meaning they're triggered on all clients so there's a replication process that has to happen. They take more work/effort to make and edit than regular map-based emitters.

1 - Yes
2 - Could be
3 - Yes, see below

I don't think changing colors is a good idea unless we can find use of colored smoke in the military. In all of the stuff we've done for AA, we don't want to subtract from the realism that the AA devs included (silly maps excluded, they still keep core gameplay). If we can find evidence of red, green, orange or other smoke used in the military, I don't see why we can't implement it confidently. Maybe have a randomizer that chooses what color the smoke will be randomly.

I stress the word maybe because being that the smoke has to replicate across clients, I don't know that it would be easy to replicate the randomness.

They use red smoke to show for extraction etc, but its only these kind of smokes who not intended in the battle.

In the United States military, the various colours of smoke created by smoke grenades do not have preassigned meanings or uses. The specific meaning of a given colour is determined by the needs of the user at the time of use. This means that the same colour of smoke could mean different things in different situations.
